Unpacking was definitely a lot less hassle than packing was.

My clothes were neatly folded and hung in the walk-in wardrobe on one side, while the other was left empty for Harlow to unpack. It didn't take long, though I checked every item of clothing to remind myself if I had missed anything important. Luckily, that wasn't the case. I had everything I needed and I couldn't be more glad.

Once I mostly emptied my duffel bag, leaving some toiletries in the bathroom and placing my things where I needed them, I laid down on Harlow's bed with my phone in my hand. Well, our bed, which is still a shock to me.

However, I'm glad that Harlow seemed to care so much about my safety. If I'm being entirely honest, I would rather sleep with her than in the room she mentioned. Plus, thinking about it, it wouldn't be so horrible.

It had only been an hour or so since Harlow left the room, and I locked it behind her just in case. She hadn't returned yet at any point, so I'm guessing she's still really busy with everything that's going on.

Not that I expect here anytime soon. Or that I necessarily want her here with me right now. Alone time to figure out how I'm going to cope and how my friends are going to react to this - is what I need.

I open up my messages, where the last conversation between me and the girls lies an hour ago.

Me
I'm at the cabin and in my room!

Not even a minute later, I get a reply.

Vera
Yes! Oh my god, you've got to show us, Sam's all giddy and excited to see.

Elena
You should see her right now, Jesus.

Sam
OMG! Show us now, you've got to!

I smile instantly at their messages, rolling onto my front on the bed. I bite my lip, wanting to keep this from them, but I know I'll have to tell them at some point. So better now than later.

Me
But, I'm not alone in the room.

I inhale a breath.

Vera
What do you mean?

Me
I'm sharing it with someone.

Sam
Well woman, don't keep us waiting, SPILL.

Me
It's Harlow.

The girls read the message and I manage to count ten seconds, until my phone buzzes in my hand, with a call from Sam.

I swipe my finger across the screen and answer.

"Harlow!? Harlow! Seriously- Elodie you are insane and I'm so here for it-" Sam's bellowing is cut off by Elena's voice.

"You're sharing with Harlow? Did you know that was going to happen? Oh god- don't tell me you're sharing a bed..."

"We are sharing a bed."
