SOPHIE HID in the middle capsule, closing her eyes as the sound of Marcus counting down filled her ears. Since her "if I can't see you you can't see me" method had worked the last time she used it, she decided to do it again.

"Found you."

Sophie opened her eyes and sighed when she saw Marcus looking at her with a smile. She had never been good at hide and seek.

She exited the capsule and stood by the wall, waiting for Marcus to say he was ready for her to start counting. Once he gave her the OK, she put her hands over her eyes and began the countdown.

"10, 9, 8-"

Her counting was interrupted when the sound of the elevator opening echoed throughout the room. She stopped to see who it was and smiled when Mr. Davenport strode in and began working at one of the desks.

"Hey, Mr. Davenport!" She greeted with a wave.

"Hey Sophie," he nodded back before doing a double-take. "SOPHIE?!"

"And Marcus," she nodded and Marcus waved at the older man. "We were playing hide-and-seek, wanna join?"

"I couldn't find any- Oh boy,"

Leo joined the three in the technology-filled room and his face fell when he noticed the two extra presences. He and Mr. Davenport both stared at their smiling guests with wide eyes, switching their gazes from one person to the other.

"You can play with us too Leo, the more the merrier."

"Uh-uh-uh-uh. Okay. I'm only gonna have time to come to a rolling stop, so when we get to your house, aim for grass."

Mr. Davenport hurried Sophie and Marcus to the front door, and when Marcus began babbling on about how he'd like to follow in Davenport's footsteps, Sophie took the opportunity to grab her bags.

This was a bust, she thought to herself. She didn't get to do any of the things she wanted to do, like have a sock puppet show with Adam and have a pillow fight with Bree. The only exciting thing that happened was the confirmation that the three siblings were superheroes (even if Mr. Davenport wanted to say what they saw was his laundry room), but she already knew that.

She began walking out when Marcus stopped her.

"You're not coming with us, Sophie?" Marcus asked from where he stood with Mr. Davenport a couple of feet behind her.

"I'm fine walking home," she shrugged.

Why Marcus wasn't going to walk as well, she had no clue. She knew he could do it as he walked the way here - he even went through the extra effort of walking to her house as well. She gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was because he wanted to spend time with Mr. Davenport (his apparent idol), but it was still suspicious to her.

"Hold it, Blondie."

Leo held a metal detector to Sophie's face, preventing her from moving any further. She glanced at Bree who she was initially trying to go to, and the brunette stared back at her with an apologetic look.

"Let her through, Leo," Bree said with an annoyed huff.

Leo put the scanner down and stood aside, sparing her a skeptical look as she walked by him.
