Silena had no idea how long she was out. What she did know was that if she had come around just a minute later, they would have become legacy pudding.

She gasped as the wind rushed against her face so hard that she couldn't open her eyes. What she could see through her lashes was trees. Lots and lots of trees below them. Silena had a feeling that it wouldn't be nice if they landed at the rate they were going right now.

Shaking with terror, Silena gripped harder to the only thing she could hold; Zoe's wrist. Silena couldn't tell if Zoe was unconscious or not. The ground was now frighteningly close, and Silena felt a scream build in her throat.

She was a legacy of Jupiter. She had to do something.

SIlena closed her eyes, trying to concentrate, which wasn't very easy when you were falling to your death. She tried to summon the winds, but no luck.

"Fly!" SIlena was so startled, she almost pulled out her knife and skewered Zoe.

"You're awake!" Silena cried.

"Don't sound so surprised! Do something!"

Silena met her green eyes with difficulty. They were filled with fear. Her hair was flying upward, like a black torch, and there was a bloody cut on her forehead.

"I–I can't!"

"You convinced Marie to turn into an eagle. You can fly!"

"I–"

"Silena!"

Silena closed her eyes again. This time, she focused on what mattered most. Her friends. Her parents. Camp.

"You're doing it!" Zoe yelled. Selena opened her eyes with a start. They're fall was slowing. Silena felt herself floating slightly, until she was once again suspended in mid-air. Zoe was hanging on her wrist, looking very pale.

Silena gasped as Zoe's weight pulled her down. She couldn't keep them both afloat for long. Another part of her felt completely elated. She was flying! Really flying! It seemed too good to be true!

"Silena! The ground!" Silena snapped out of her dream world. The ground was coming closer. Though she had certainly slowled their fall, it would not do them much good if they landed.

Silena groaned in pain, now wrapping both of her hands around Zoe's wrist. She summoned the winds to support them. Again, no luck.

"Zoe! Water!" Silena suddenly cried. They were falling over a small creek. Zoe turned only paler, but she nodded in determination, and closed her eyes. The water began to swirl like a whirlpool. Slowly, very slowly, it began to rise. Silena did her best to cushion their fall as they slammed into the water.

For a second, the world went black. The next second, Silena was struggling in the water, trying to surface. She had always been a good swimmer, but the water was never her favorite place. Just then, when she was about to give up, a hand grabbed her wrist and jerked her up.

Her head broke out of the water, and she gasped, coughing and spluttering. Zoe was next to her, completely dry and unperturbed. She looked much better. Than before. The cut on her forehead looked a day old.

"T-thanks," Silena shivered when they reached dry land.

"Just returning the favor," Zoe tried for a smile, but it turned into a grimace.

"The others," Silena said. "Where are they,"

Zoe shrugged. "I don't know. I really don't know. Gods, I hope they made it out," She stopped there, but Silena felt her dread. The plane had exploded. If the others hadn't made it out in time—
