The mourning dove cried into the early morning. It wallowed in shame as it watched over the stone bed. It's sobs of anguish could be heard as the moon left to weep.
The sun shined between the dark clouds. Speckles of light danced around the bodies of dead. Leaving only a trace of warmth in their wake.
Sobs long dried up reside here, as the male watches over the tombstone. Six feet separate the two just as life and death do.
A light chuckle escapes the males throat as he gazes at the headstone with red eyes. A laugh of pain and exhaustion. His tear-stained face showed proof of what was lost. The emptiness in his heart only served as a reminder.
Delicately he traced the name etched in stone with his finger. A name he used to call so lovingly.
A gentle breeze rushes past him, sending a chill down his spine.
A life lost so young, a mere child who never had the chance to grow.
His green hair laid alongside the grass as he finally rested into the ground. The fresh morning dew kissed his skin tenderly as he watched the clouds dance in the sky.
A single hand held a bundle of flowers on top of the grave. A child's book laid open, as if someone was reading a story.
Letting his head fall to the side, the male gazed at the stone. Such a loving look in his eyes. Oh, how nice it must be to feel so loved.
Caressing the grave, his voice spoke out. "Hu, I'm tired. So very tired. May I too rest now?" He asked awaiting a response. He sounded so very drained.
A single tear rolled down his cheek, silence was his only answer. Choking on his own tears he curled his legs to his chest. A broken sob could be heard as the boy released his suffering to the world.
Kissing his hand, he placed it towards the freshly dug soil. With an exhausted smile he laid closer to the grave. A single strand of smoke could be seen as the hand around the flowers went limp.
Now he shall finally rest his tortured spirit.
