"But Zihao...I love you so..." Dabi's hand tightened around Zihao's ankle. Desperation painted his face as he wore a broken smile. A smile that begged Zihao to stay. To never leave his side.
"Please let me go." Tears welled in his eyes. He couldn't do this anymore. He can't be there for him anymore. Not after what he did. He couldn't fall for it anymore.
"I love you so..." His voice echoed in the greenette's head.
Stop. No, you don't. It's a trick. You never did. It was all for you, not me. Why can't you mean what you say?
"Please let me go." The hand around his ankle loosened slightly.
"I love you so..."
"Please let me go." Dabi's arm fell limp to the floor. His eyes bathed in blood as he stared at Zihao with longing eyes. Even after he released his ankle, the warmth still danced a crossed his skin.
"I love you so..."
You never loved me. I know you didn't. No more words were spoken as Dabi watched the only person who cared for him walk through the door. And he had no one to blame but himself.
