"Who would have thought it would have ended like this..." A dry laugh left Zihao's throat as he stared up the sky. The world was torn apart after All Might's retirement. The fear villains once had vanished into thin air.
Crime rates skyrocketed, not only in Japan but everywhere. The retirement caused a chain reaction all throughout the globe. One after another more heroes vanished from the scene.
Those who could fight, were sent to protect the others. Human weapons. That is all they were. If you injured, find someone with a quirk to fix you.
Can't be fixed? Take enough drugs to forget the pain.
There was no other choice.
The rich soil hugged the bodies of those who slept in the field. The animals thanked the gods for gifting them with fresh food. The world was finally being ridded of quirks.
The entire population fought against each other. For what? They aren't sure. It was too hard to tell the difference between foe and friend.
Fear. A force strong enough to drive every person insane, regardless of their strength. And in doing so, they can't see the destruction left behind them.
"Tell me about it." A voice moaned in pain next to Zihao. The crimson liquid seeped through their clothes and painted the ground a vibrant red.
"In the end, none of it was worth it. Nothing at all." Zihao confessed as his eyelids grew heavy. The exhaustion began to wear on him as he allowed his body to relax. "All I can do is pray that in my next life, I never open my eyes at all."
The red winged man's eyes watered as he watched the smoke dance in the air until the silent music ended. "Ha, how selfish." He scoffed as he turned onto his side.
"Leaving me alone in this cruel world. How very selfish green tea, how selfish..." A single tear fell down Hawks' face as he finally welcomed death with open arms. His feathers flew off into wind, creating one last masterpiece in the sky.
Power creates nothing but death, yet humanity shall never learn its lesson. Even if millions have to die.

Dude this isn't related to the story at all, but one of my favorite fanfic authors is leaving votes on my story. I deadass nearly screamed.
