The Imperial officers were stunned. They were being attacked by Mardox! This is always the kind of thing you'd expect to happen to someone else. Mardox, however, did this kind of thing every day. He shot the window, which shattered into millions of pieces. The officers were pulled out into the vacuum. One acted quickly and pulled a blaster. The lasers bounced off the Avalanche's shields. The officers were left floating through space. Mardox checked the diagnostics, flipped some switches, and fired his A-9 Super Missile. It rocketed through the broken window frame and into the console. Mardox was rotating his ship as he fired the missile and R6 was readying the sonic-hyperdrive. The navi-computer confirmed they were pointing in the direction of Correlia. As the Avalanche disappeared into sonic-hyperspace, the Star Destroyer erupted into flames. Just as the sonic ring extended around the exploding ship, a familiar Correlian freighter zapped out of hyperspace. It sat in space for a minute or two, then a small ship extended from the back, unfolded its wings, and went to examine the wreckage.
