Today is a very hectic day for me what with Alexandra and I getting into a fight, we've been getting into arguments a lot lately but it didn't really lead to fights today though was something else.

"Hello.." a voice draws me out of my thoughts

I look up from the screen I've been stuck at to see my assistant standing by the door an unsure look on her
Face I guess she probably was t sure if she was supposed to come in or not and if she was I'm sure she wouldn't want to especially with the way I've been acting today I mean I've been showing a lot of irritation.

"Yes Mia..." I say my tone no doubt sharp as she flinched on impulse her eyes darting from me to the door no doubt any minute form now she'd be very ready to bolt from here

"Um.....er..Mr Crane is here to see you"she says her voice shaky

Noah was here why hadn't they let him in

Oh yes of course how could they couldn't because a while ago you'd ordered them not to let in any visitors without an appointment

My subconscious says heatedly as I remember how I had threatened to fire the receptionist if she made that mistake.

"Alright then let him in" I say my tone a bit more calm

"Alright sir...please excuse me" and with that she left

"Hey man what's up" Noah says the minute he enters
Into my office I get up to do our bro shake thing

"I'm aight how are you"

"You don't look alright infact why does the place seem like a graveyard I mean what's with everyone acting like there's been a massacre"he questioned

"How do you mean"it was my turn to ask

"I mean look at you... your tie is undone, your hair looks like something you've ran your hands through
Numerous times and look you've obviously been staring at that screen for a while now... all these are things you wouldn't do my friend so you see

I immediately check myself on my mirror and true to his words I did seem very  much unlike myself

"What's the matter my friend"

And to that I tell him what transpired

"I mean it's asif she's unbothered about the whole situation" I finished with a sigh

"Well have you talked to her about all this"

"Did you even listen to anything I have said at all..

"I did but you said all you did was argue which isn't solving anything so how about you try talking to her I'm sure she'll listen...to

"She won't Noah she won't I don't know what exactly is going on with her I mean after Normani came to live with us she's been acting weird I mean it's as if she doesn't even care about anything anymore"

"No no I'm sure it's not that Alexandra isn't like that i fee you should talk to her..."

"Noah I don't think it will work...

I didn't get to finish as my phone rings

"Hello....... are you sure....alright I'll go check on her" I rush

"We need to go" I say immediately I ended the call

"What....where?

"To my home Noah she's done it again"

"Done what"

"Never mind let's go

"Normani....Normani are you okay" I say immediately I rushed into the house eagerly searching for any sign of her

"Urm over here sir" she tried to yell but it sounded more gruff

I immediately rushed to the sound of the voice

I found her sat on the floor against the stairs railing all sweaty as I helped her up

"Are you okay what happened"

"Um....it's nothing sir" she lies

"What! Do not lie to me Normani what happened"I asked "Claire called she said you didn't go to the clinic why is that?

"Umm....Well I was waiting for Miss Alexandra to come drive me like she promised but then when I went to call for her after checking all over I realized she wasn't in the house and I had gone to check for my phone so I could maybe call her to remind her but then I couldn't find it"

"What do you mean it wasn't it what you used to call her... Hugh"Noah asked skeptical

"Umm Yeah....I was sure I'd left it on the kitchen counter this morning but then I couldn't find it"

"But I called and it rang....are you sure you didn't leave it elsewhere cause it couldn't possibly be stolen since you said you left it in the house"I questioned getting Impatient

"Yes sir I left it here on the kitchen counter...I swear"

"Don't do that....let me call you and see if it rings"

Few minutes into calling and it actually rings from upstairs I didn't need to ask cause Noah immediately rushed up the stairs

"....your study Hugh"

"My study? I asked baffled

"Yes...sir" she answered shakily

"Why the hel...ck will your phone be in my study

"Oh of course Alexandra...you see man you see what I'm saying she always plays this types of game endangering the life of Normani and my child

"Hold on man Let's not jump into conclusions"

"Yes sir...I agree" Normani replies

"Alright Normani.... we can go for your check up now

Speak of the devil and she appears
