Ever since my fight with Alexandra I have felt a bit of a strain in our relationship, which I excused as her still being angry with me for breaking her father's vase.

Hell I'm still pissed at myself for doing that, it was the only thing she had left of her father after the fire in New Zealand. I was left feeling tormented every time I saw her look at the jar where she'd kept the shattered pieces I still didn't know what to do to make it up to her

I pick up my ringing phone to see mum on the screen "Hello... love"

"My sweetheart how are you"she responded

"I'm good how's Germany"

"Oh Germany's fine I just called to let you know I'll be back in New York tomorrow and that I would be coming over to see you and my soon to be grandchild" She replied "speaking of which how is Alexandra and how's the wedding planning coming along"

"Wedding planning" I muttered confused

"What's that supposed to mean...don't tell me you haven't started the preparations? Goodness your wedding is in two months for Christ sake don't tell me you forgot" she shouts

"Umm I didn't how can I besides we still have time as you said it's in two months"I replied

"Have you even booked a place yet"she questions

"No I and Alexandra decided it will be at the church where her parents got married"

"Well have you made arrangements"

"No mom" I replied realizing that she was indeed right

"Thank goodness I'm coming...you better be prepared cause if I leave it up to you two there might not be a wedding"

"Exactly" I said not realizing I had spoken out loud until she asked

"What do you mean?

"Umm it's nothing mom"

"Hugh Grey Sterling!! She calls my full name

I sighed reluctantly as I realized I had no choice but to respond By telling her of the evens that happened in the past week "how I'm I even sure she'd still want to marry me when she isn't even talking to me"

"Ohh don't say that son you hurt her I know but that isn't enough reason to end your relationship upon you two have been together since forever"

"I know mom but I broke the only thing she has left of her parent"

I sat lost in thoughts In Sheila house watching as she fed her daughter Sugar. It was obvious she adored the little girl as she laughed at every babble she made not caring if she messed up her clothes with baby food "look at what you did now mama" she scolds fondly pointing at the hand print sugar made with her colored painted palms the little girl reply was to giggle soon after Sheila joined it by saying
"You naughty naughty girl"

"You really love her don't you" I said out loud without meaning to watching as Sheila got up with Sugar to change her outfit and clean her up as she did that she replied "of course she's my little girl...besides have you seen her who wouldn't like such a cutie"

"Uh Huh"I replied with a chuckle

"Now tell me...have you both settled" she asked with a serious tone

"Who..."

"Haha.... very funny you and Hugh"

"There's nothing to settle"I answered a while later

"Oh come on Lexi...he broke the vase that's it there's absolutely nothing he can do about it you know that"

"I do but it hurts you know and I'm so furious that I don't know what to do"

"Has he not apologized"

"He has countless of times but like I said I'm still very angry...I mean he broke something so important to me because of what... one doctor's meeting" I tell her my anger rising with every word
"I mean the doctor's meeting could have been rescheduled but my vase can never be replaced it's broken and that's it....I can't bring it back just like I can't bring back my parents"

"Oh Lexi.. Sheila says as she rushes to myself wiping away tears I didn't know I was shedding

"That's the only thing I have of them I can't ask them for another one cause it's all gone....they are all gone"I say this time with hard sobs

"Go on cry all you want sweetheart...I'm here"
