Cravings and girl talk

When you got to the pool, Nat was sitting on the side with Wanda and Pepper while they waited on you. You took out your phone and turned on some music and sat on the side of the pool with them.
"That belly shows more with that" Wanda put her hands on your stomach and you flushed a bit. "They are so powerful"
"Turn off your inhibitor" Nat grinned at you. "I want to see the butterflies". You turned off your inhibitor and without any use of power on your end your body turned to flames and the room filled with butterflies and birds of flames.
"Maybe not such a great idea" you chuckled a bit to yourself.
"I felt it, it's the babies calling on them" Wanda grinned to herself. "Loki is probably right, they will be enhanced with flames"
"I'll need to make them mini inhibitors until they get old enough to learn how to control it" you bit your bottom lip. "Loki is rarely wrong, I've noticed"
"He's very observant" Pepper nodded, acknowledging what you said.
"Even as a cat" you giggled and slid into the water. You could feel yourself heating up the pool. "You know, to be honest, it would be nice to not have to wear the inhibitor as much. Even when I control the temperature, it still singes fabric and other things" you flushed.
"Skin?" Nat raised an eyebrow.
"Thankfully not" you shook your head. "Tree's for one, grass..." you trailed off.
"At least you're brave enough to try to be without them again. Once the pregnancy is over, you could try" Wanda smiled softly as you waded through the water.
"I'd like to" you smiled. "But my emotions take over, and its hard. I feel a little weaker with inhibitors. Its nice when I turn it off, I feel more like myself" you admitted gently.
"Maybe you need fire retardant sheets and blankets" Pepper smiled.
"Do those even exist?" you raised an eyebrow as Wanda jumped in and waded in the water beside you.
"Of course, and if they don't I have Tony" she shrugged.
"That would be amazing, making love to Bucky without the inhibitors is such an experience" you flushed at the admission. "I'm always trying to be careful with him"
"He likes it as much as you do" Wanda winked knowingly. "He thinks about it often"
"So do I" you blushed. "I think that's how I got pregnant" you admitted. "The timeline fits"
"No wonder they have fire powers then" Wanda giggled.
"Supper is about to be delivered, I got us pizza, and a special order of dill pickle pizza just for you Kitten" Pepper smiled. "We can come back to swimming after, the boys are still out. We don't have to bother getting changed.
"Less work sounds good to me, as long as no one sees me like this" you flushed getting out and wrapping yourself in the towel and turning your inhibitor back on again. "I'm tired from today" you added softly.
"You need to try to stay awake to make that registry" Nat reminded you.
"They still are waiting on the suits to be done" Pepper shrugged. "You might want to start on one anyways"
"I can't think of anything I need. Maybe Bucky though. He likes his old records, and he does need new clothes" you thought out loud following them out and heading towards the dining room. You could smell your pizza and were practically salivating at the thought of it.
"Think of what you need for a house" Pepper smiled over her shoulder at you.
"My cabin I can barely visit, and I have all I need there. We live here in the compound, and we have all we need here too" you shrugged.
"Humor us" Wanda sighed. "You can put things in your kitchenette too"
"A small fridge for water bottles" you thought out loud.
"Now you're getting it" Nat smiled.
You sat at the table, and they just handed you the entire box of pizza. You didn't even bother with a plate, and just dug in and moaned happily. Nat leaned over and kissed your cheek and shuddered a little.
"Anyone want a bite?" you asked with your mouth full. "This is so good"
"Pass" they all said at once.
"Enjoy your pizza" Nat added with a smirk.
"Its so good" you moaned happily. "Can we have ice cream and cookies for dessert?" you asked around a mouthful again. "I'm craving strawberry with the salted caramel cookies"
"I'll add that to Bruce's list of pregnancy cravings" Nat announced typing into her phone. "He's been documenting everything with Doctor Joy"
"Where is she today?" you asked curiously.
"She went to see Doctor Cho to show the findings that we have so far on enhanced pregnancy's. She's so excited about it, especially with how far along you are and how well developed the twins are" Pepper smiled. "She's a bit worried that they are a bit big, but they think it has something to do with the super soldier serum"
"Are you going to do a natural birth?" Wanda asked gently.
"I want to, but I also know I'll be in a lot of pain so I might ask for the drugs. I don't really want a c-section, but if I have to I don't mind" you shook your head.
"No matter what happens, we have the regeneration machine for when its over. Have you talked about names?" Nat asked curiously.
"Yes, and we have four picked out, but its going to be a surprise. We are planning on having more than just the two" you admitted with a flush.
"Are you really going to go for a baseball team?" Wanda giggled.
"I don't mind" you blushed. "If they are made from love, what does it matter how many we have? He has the stamina, and we live in the safest place in the world"
"It didn't feel so safe a week ago" Pepper chewed on her food thoughtfully.
"Loki and I had it. When we saw that Shield didn't have it, we helped. It was worth it. I would have gone after, but once I was wounded Loki just took me to Asgaurd with no warning. I'm lucky he did" you smiled. "His mother is wonderful, and its such a beautiful place" you admitted. "They knew about me, that was surprising"
"You're worth knowing about" Nat leaned into you, and you looked down and saw that you had eaten almost the whole pizza. You shrugged, and finished it without another thought. "I'm adding that pizza to things you like now"
"I've always liked pickles" you smiled. "I just crave them a lot right now"
"Good to know" she typed into her phone. Pepper got up and brought you a bowl of strawberry ice cream and three salted caramel cookies. You crumbled them and stirred it in, then got up and went and got a can of whipped cream and covered the bowl with it before digging in. The girls were already done their pizza and giggled a little as you moaned happily finishing your ice cream.
"That was so good" you decided.
"It looked interesting" Wanda spoke carefully. "Not exactly a combination I would have thought of" she admitted.
"I think this is more of a food baby now" you giggled rubbing your stomach.
"No swimming, but lets go sit by the pool for a bit, maybe walk around in it" Nat stood up taking your hand.
"I need to pee first" you went to the bathroom quickly. When you came out she was still waiting on you. She took your hand and led you back to the pool. Leia was standing in the hallway, and followed you into the pool room. You sat on one of the loungers and she jumped up on your lap and you started petting her fur happily. You could still hear your music playing, and your thoughts went to Bucky and wondering if he was doing okay. You wondered if maybe he was even having a little bit of fun while he was out.
"What are you so in deep in thought over?" Pepper asked sitting beside you.
"Bucky" you smiled in spite of yourself. "I'm the luckiest woman in the world to have a man like him"
"He started trying to court you when you were at the carnival" Wanda smiled. "That's what he was thinking when he asked the team to ask you to go"
"I figured as much, they've been almost inseparable since then" Nat chuckled. "I knew he was interested the night she came in and frosted the jet, but I knew he was in deep when he started sleeping with her on the porch to help with her nightmares. It was the sweetest thing"
"It honestly helped with the nightmares, and ever since. When he's around I feel so safe" you blushed. "Even from myself" you added. "He makes me feel so loved, and cherished..." you trailed off.
"He was miserable while you were in Asgaurd. I haven't seen him like that since he first joined the team" Pepper admitted. "We had to force him to come eat. He wouldn't even talk to Steve after a while"
"I didn't mean to frighten him, I just wanted to protect the family" you sighed gently.
"As much as we hate what you did, you did protect this family and all of our families with Loki. We appreciate that" Nat gave in. "Thankfully I don't have to worry about Yelena anymore than usual"
"She's invited to the wedding, right?" you asked after a moment.
"We invited everyone's families" Pepper nodded. "Bucky made sure of that"
"I wanted to talk to Bucky about having Penelope in the wedding party" you bit your bottom lip. "She was such a big part of my life, and I know that traditionally I'm only supposed to have so many..." you drifted off.
"You know he will say yes. I'll order her dress, I already have her size. I'll pick it up tomorrow" Pepper decided quickly.
"But then Bucky has to pick someone else for the wedding party, I need to talk to him" you bit your bottom lip.
"He wants Clint" Wanda smiled. "He respects him"
"That's one less thing to worry about, but I'll still talk to him about it" you decided. "Are they almost done?"
"Not quite" Pepper shook her head. "Tony demanded all the suits were ready today, so the tailors are working overtime trying to put everything together perfectly"
"Oh, I should have remembered to get Maria a dress" you gasped.
"I'm on it" Pepper typed into her phone. "I'll pick it up tomorrow"
"I haven't heard from them in a while" you pouted.
"They knew about what happened at the compound, Tony's been giving Morgan updates for you. They are giving you time to get settled back in at home" Pepper let you know gently. "They were pretty worried, but they heard that your fine, and haven't been texting him as much. Tony sent them a photo of the babies, Maria and Penelope squealed over it"
"I guess the baby bump wont be a surprise then" you giggled.
"What was that like waking up with it?" Nat asked curiously.
"I didn't know what was wrong at first, but, I felt wonderful. I was surprised to say the least, and felt like I missed out on too much but at the same time it was to protect them so I understood their reasoning" you bit your bottom lip. "I've just loved feeling them grow, and it feels like I missed out on the real beginning of the bump, besides that tiny one I had before"
"Its still a cute little thing for now" Nat grinned. "I can't wait to see you get bigger. You'll need help getting around then"
"Oh don't get me started. Bucky already always brushes my hair which is the sweetest thing, and always puts my socks and shoes on. I can still manage that much" you giggled.
"He just wants to take care of you" Wanda smiled knowingly.
"Okay, Tony just checked in. They are grabbing a bite to eat and coming home" Pepper smiled, and you felt relief.
"Thank you Pepper" you smiled.
"Lets get in the water for a bit, they will be a while" Nat winked grabbing your hand and dragging you back into the pool. You didn't mind, you could use the exercise after the meal you just ate.
