It's been a month since Everleigh changed schools. Today, Rylee is coming over for the first time. Everleigh's so excited.
"Hey Rylee!" Everleigh yells when Rylee walks in the door.
"Hey Ev!" Rylee shouts back.
They pull each other into a hug.
Rylee's parents then come in to talk to Alex and Norma.
"Hey I'm Shelly." Rylee's mom introduces herself.
"I'm Ryan." Rylee's dad also introduces himself.
"I'm Norma." Norma introduces herself.
"And I'm Alex." Alex introduces himself.
"It's nice to meet you." Norma says.
"It's nice to meet you too." Shelly agrees.
The parents go to the kitchen and talk while Rylee and Everleigh go upstairs.
Little does Everleigh that Rylee has developed feelings for her.
"So have you've always lived in White Pine Bay?" Rylee asks.
"Yes I have." Everleigh says. "What about you?"
"Oh I'm from Michigan. I moved here when I was 6." Rylee explains.
"That's cool."
Rylee nods. They both talk more about themselves.
"Bye Rylee." Shelly says to Rylee before she leaves.
"Bye mom." Rylee says back.
Rylee's parents leave.
"I'm gonna go make dinner." Norma says.
Rylee and Everleigh go back upstairs.
"So what do you want to do?" Rylee asks.
"What about truth or dare?" Everleigh asks.
"Sounds good."
"Truth or Dare?" Everleigh asks Rylee
"Dare."
"I dare you to do a cartwheel."
Rylee does a cartwheel easily.
"Truth or dare?" Rylee asks Everleigh.
"Dare."
"I dare you tell your parents that you love books and then start to do the Macarena." Rylee giggles.
"Ok." Everleigh goes downstairs.
Norma and Alex are sitting together on the couch watching tv.
"I love books." Everleigh says before she starts doing the Macarena.
Rylee laughs while watching Everleigh do the dare.
"Um ok." Norma says while she laughs.
Everleigh then runs back upstairs with Rylee.
"That was so funny!" Everleigh says as she gets into her room.
"It was." Rylee laughs.
"Your turn." Everleigh tells Rylee.
"Truth."
"Who's your crush."
Rylee sits there and thinks. She doesn't know if she should confess her feelings now or not.
"You." Rylee whispers.
"What?" Everleigh asks confused.
Before Rylee could answer Norma calls them for dinner. They both go downstairs and sit at the table.
Everyone gets there plates and they all start to eat.
"So how is the hangout going?" Norma asks.
"Umm good. Great actually." Everleigh mutters while fake smiling at Rylee.
"That's good." Norma smiles.
"Yep." Everleigh agrees.
They all finish dinner. Everleigh and Rylee are about to go back upstairs but Rylee's parents arrive.
"Bye Everleigh." Rylee says.
"Bye Rylee." Everleigh says back.
Rylee leaves.
"So your mom and I are going to a meeting thing and you have to stay home. Call us if you need anything or Emma should be downstairs at the motel." Alex explains.
"Don't open the door for anyone!" Norma warns Everleigh.
"I know." Everleigh nods.
"Bye jellybean." Alex says. Everleigh hugs Alex.
"Bye sweetheart." Norma says. Everleigh hugs Norma then Norma kisses her forehead.
Little did they know what was gonna happen when they left.
