The priest says Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great honor that I officially present to you Mr. and Mrs. Suavez. That's when her dad pulls out a gun and he points it at me. He pulls the trigger but she jumps in front of me and he shoots her. I take my gun out and I empty the clip in him. I kneel down and I pick her up and she's bleeding out. I kiss her lips and I say I love you. She puts her hand on my arm and I carry her to the car. I get in the backseat with her. Her head in my lap I have my cousin drive. I stroke her hair and I say stay with me baby she starts to cry. I kiss her head and I say we're almost there baby your gonna be alright. She squeezes my hand tightly. As we pull up the the hospital she falls unconscious. I pick her up and I rush in with her I yell for someone to help her. They take her back and they make me stay in the waiting room
6 weeks later
I'm sitting in an all white hospital room beside her bed. She's been in a medically induced coma for 6 weeks. These past 6 weeks have been absolute hell. For the first time in a long time I start to cry. I miss her so much I worry about her not making it. Soon I feel her hand on on my face. I look up and her eyes are open. I say baby? I stand and I get her a glass of water and I help her drink some. She coughs and I sit it beside her. She says Alonso her voice soft but raspy. I guess from not speaking for so long. I say I missed you so much baby she holds my face. I say why'd you get in the way? She says h.he was gonna shoot you I couldn't live without you. I say I love you so much she says I love you too I'm sorry. I say for what? She says him he was trying to kill you I didn't know he'd do that. I say don't worry about it baby she says I'm so sorry. She starts to cry I say shh shh it's okay he's dead now. I hug her tight she says h.how long have I been- I say 6 weeks. She says so long I say your here now that's all that matters. That's when a doctor walks in she smiles and says oh your awake. The doctor asks me to step out I do and I hear screaming. I rush in and my baby is fighting the doctor I say baby what's wrong. She screams don't let her touch me! I tell the doctor to leave. I hold my Valentine and try to calm her down. She cries into my chest as I rub her back.
