"Do I have to attend tonight?" I whisper quietly as I look at him through the mirror.

"Of course you do. I want everyone to be aware that you belong to me" he says as he kisses my bare shoulder.

"That's really not necessary" I reply, but as I watch his eyes become narrowed, regret immediately fills me.

He grabs onto my wrist painfully and spins me around, so that he was directly looking at me.

"Why don't you want that? You want men to think that you're single? Do you love the attention they give you?" He sneers as his grip becomes tighter.

"No that's-thats not what I meant. Please Ale-master, you're hurting me!" I cry out in pain.

"You know what? I have an idea" he says, his tone becoming lighter.

I already knew his idea was anything but good, yet I still asked him knowing that he was waiting for me to ask.

"Wha-what idea, master?" I whimper, my wrist in excruciating pain.

He smiles. Not a warm, loving smile. No, it was an unforgiving smile, full of evil and sin.

"You'll see" he mutters before holding onto my other wrist and pulling me out of his room.

I refuse to call it our room, despite the fact that we share the bed here. Afterall, I don't have a choice. I never have a choice. It's always whatever Alexander wants, Alexander gets.

He drags me behind him as we walk through the estate, his men curiously watching.

It's funny because most of the horror takes place in the bedroom, where he beats and rapes me. Yet it's the room I find most comfort in when I'm alone.

Walking in the eyes of so many guests brings me such anxiety, knowing they all find our relationship to be an entertainment for them to watch.

He stops in the middle of a ballroom, which at this point was just full of lots and lots of Russian men.

Old and young men stared with interest as they sat or stood in their prestige suits, sipping on glasses of champagne.

I never liked the rich. And I was never fond of the Russians, considering my step father.
