Isabella Rose

After a lot of convincing, relief filled me when Vincent finally agreed to let me go home by a cab.

I just needed space right now, and Lilly and him deserved some alone time.

I knew he felt guilty as well as alarmed in agreeing to leave me, but I reassured him that I really didn't mind, and that he was giving me a shot of happiness by granting me a little time of freedom.

So after giving me some money and calling a cab for me, they left together.

And I took that as my cue to walk away.

I wasn't planning on escaping or running away. I knew that this revenge would be as pleasant for me as it would be for Valentino.

I just needed some alone time and fresh air.

But as I began walking, I felt goosebumps arise on my skin as the slow sound of footsteps echoed behind me.

Slightly turning my head to the right, the sight of a shadow made my heart twist. Currently in heels and a dress, not to mention weaponless, was definitely not the right time to be attacked.

Perhaps going for a walk wasn't the best idea.

Oh Isabella, you really should learn from your mistakes.

I didn't want to risk the idea of the person behind being an innocent person with no motive and not a threat, so without a second thought I began walking quicker.

Though as the shadow followed behind equally fast, I knew right then and there this wasn't going to end well.

"3...2...1...run" I mutter under my breath, before running as fast as these heels would allow me to.

I didn't know where I was going, but anywhere away from this stranger would be enough satisfaction.

It was dark and for some reason there were not many lamposts around, but I would use that to my advantage to hide.

A quiet groan leaves me as my foot awkwardly lands in an uncomfortable position, before I regain myself and try to shake the pain off.

Even above the ongoing adrenaline pumping inside me, my ankle continued to remain a throbbing ache.

I didn't think twice before quickly bending now and slipping my heels off before resuming my run again.

A shame, they were my favourite pair.

Turning a few ends every now and then, I lean behind a corner against a wall, attempting to catch my breath and rest my ankle for a few seconds.

I just needed to get onto a main road again so I could catch a cab and leave.

One minute passes.

And then another.

Though no sound of a person.

Relief fills me knowing I was able to loose him.

I peek my head around the corner I came from, happy at the sight of just buildings and the dark sky.

"Thank fucking g-"

The rest of my words become muffled as I feel one large hand rest roughly around my mouth, the other across my stomach pulling me against a chest.

My heart thumped way too quickly as fear clouded my mind and body. My arms and legs both flailed desperately, but the man's strength was beyond my control.

But that addictive scent of-

His mouth hovered closely to my ear, "Calm down, principessa"

Valentino.
