"Thank you" I say smiling, as Vincent opens the restaurant door allowing me to enter first.

A few seconds later a waiter approaches us, "Reservation for three under the name Vince" he tells him.

"Right this way" the waiter smiles, leading us to a table near a window, which revealed a breath-taking view of the sun setting over the city.

Tints of blue, pink and orange flourished throughout the sky, and it was scenery like this which reminded me of my childhood when I loved painting.

Painting sunsets was definitely a favourite of mine.

"Lilly loves watching sunsets" He states as he finds me gazing at the sight.

I turn to him with a grin, "how sweet of you, she will definitely love this then"

He agrees as he takes a seat opposite me but not directly, before looking at his watch, "She should be here soon"

I nod, my head tilting as I watch his hands fiddle with each other before he rubs his neck.

"Vincent, you're not nervous are you?" I ask, trying to stop myself from chuckling. It was really different to see this side of him which I had never seen before. Only now I realised how much of an effect Lilly had on him.

And it was undoubtedly adorable.

"What? No" Vincent replies. Raising my eyebrow he sighs, "Okay, maybe a little"

"Why? You don't have to worry, I'm completely sure we will both get along-"

"I know you guys will like each other" he says surely, "it's not that. It's just she always makes me feel nervous - in a good way - when we arrange to meet each other"

I couldn't help the smile appearing on my face. He was no doubt in love with her, and I could only hope she felt the same way.

That she didn't intend on breaking his heart.

Because it would break him. Take away the good in him.

Something he didn't deserve.

He looks at his watch again with a heavy sigh, "I should have picked her up. She kept insisting on letting her make her own way, but still, I should have"

"Hey don't beat yourself up about it. She'll be here soon girls like a bit of independence" I chuckle.

My minds drifts towards Valentino and our little interaction before Vincent and I left.

I still had to have a go at him for dropping me like that. He's lucky I have a high pain tolerance and didn't get injured, or I would make him pay.

Though, for a second I can feel my heart start to beat quicker, as different thoughts of Valentino cross my mind. Whatever was going on between us I couldn't answer, nor have the courage to question.

Just then the sound of a bell clinks, indicating the arrival of someone. I turn to look in the direction, my eyes landing on a young woman, with blonde hair and bright blue eyes which glistened under the light above her.

Light make-up was applied to her face, only embracing her natural beauty. And she wore a smile of innocence, adding to her angelic appearance.

"Lilly" Vincent breathed out from beside me, quickly standing with eyes full of admiration.

I also stand up as I watch her walk towards him, her smile growing at the sight of him.

"Vincent" she says happily, wrapping her arms around his body. I smile as Vincent does the same before they take a step back and her eyes flicker to me.
