Chapter 22

As soon as Mr. Mehra left, D5 ignored fab5 and quickly went over to choose an instrument for each of themselves. Fab5 stood there awkwardly for a few minutes to let D5 choose what they wanted. Once D5 was done, they quickly left the room to give Fab5 the space to let them choose what they wanted. As D5 left the room, Fab5 also quickly went ahead to choose an instrument for themselves, once done, they too moved towards Mr. Mehra's cabin for further instructions.

Mr. Mehra office

We can see Mr Mehra was watching CCTV of instruments room because he finds something fishy between two groups. After watching the video, he called his assistant and told him something, and that he wants the work to be done perfectly.

"Ok sir" She replied.

After a few minutes, both the groups came to his office after they were done choosing their respective instruments for the show.

"I have been pondering over something, lately. What do you think of both the groups, D5 and Fab5, you guys going over to stay at one of my resorts for 1 week and there will be no gadgets allowed rule?" Mr. Mehra asked with authority.

"We oppose! We are not going to stay with Fab5" Arya, being the leader of D5 he voiced out their opinion. To be honest, Mr. Mehra already knew this was going to happen and he was prepared for the worst. Very well knowing what D5 are capable of.

"I understand. But let me remind you, that you have now signed a contract with the company. Which means your time and schedule will be decided by the company until the contract period ends. Besides, I also need to build up the excitement among your fans before your comeback, don't you think so? This will be a good way to do the same. You guys have to stay together because I have to see how well you guys sing together and the bond should be perfect then only you can sing together." Mr. Mehra retorted back.

"But uncle we can sing without staying together, I'm sure you know that well, or are you starting to doubt our skills?" Diana sweetly questioned him using her business skills.

Mr. Mehra smiled at her, very well knowing what card she is pulling up. "It's not about doubting anyone skills. I have a full faith on your performance. But, as you can see, I'm a business man at the end of the day. A deal is a deal."

"We understand. We would do our best." Ishaani stepped up as D5 manager.

"Did we just get sacrificed in the name of public TRP?" Abhi muttered, all shocked.

"More like uncle pulling up a 'I'd like my kids to get married so sort your differences up card'" Aru murmured back.

"Are you guys ready to go?" Mr. Mehra asked smiling and being way too happy with himself.

"Like right now!?" Nandani asked shocked.

"Yes, like right now" Mr. Mehra answered.

"Yes uncle/Yes sir." The both groups replied.

"One more thing, you are allowed to take your partners with you to the resort."

"Thank you"

"I am giving you all a walkie talkie for communication."

"Why not a mobile?" Cabir asked, absent-mindedly.

"Because I don't want any disturbance in music. Also, you can ask D5 about any music related query since they are your seniors in this industry. Also, as I said no gadgets are allowed while you all practice."

"And what if there is an emergency call?" Arya asked.

"Your secretaries will be on standby."

"This old man will be driving me crazy!" Arya muttered to himself.

"You said something my son?"

"No uncle, not at all. What can I say? You planned out everything so well."

"Good, good. One more important thing I forgot to tell you."

"Why do I have a bad feeling?" The brother sister duo, Abhi and Nandani muttered at the same time.

"Yes sir?" Manik asked.

"Such obedience, sheesh" Arya commented lowly which caused the rest of the D5 to snicker.

"I have only 2 rooms, you guys have to adjust to it." Mr. Mehra dropped the most awaited bomb.

"What do you mean you only have 2 rooms!? Do you expect me stay away from my wife for a whole week!? That too at the night time?" Arya and Cabir protested immediately.

"We can't stay without our partners." Armaan and Druv said it out loud too.

Hearing this outburst made the rest of the singles giggle and Mr. Mehra to laugh out loud, knowing very well what the committed guys mean by unable to stay away during the nights. While their respective partners were mortified of them openly claiming their night activities.

"I have a solution for the couples. If you stay 1 week without them then I will book a honeymoon suite for 2 weeks. What do you say?"

"Nope" They answered in unison.

"How about after the contract ends you couples get to go on a honeymoon for two months and I will bear the cost?" Mr. Mehra offered a better deal.

"Okay we agree."
