Chapter 26

January 20 2014

Ethel was by Bobby's bedside she had gone home to take a shower and talk to her kids and Lilly who was there she was staying there with Kick and Billy and their kids she refused to go to her house and be with her Aunt Lee and Uncle Stash.

Ethel and Jackie had filled the family in on their dream

"Ethie?" Bobby said calling her his pet name he had for her

"Bobby I'm right here." Ethel said running her hands through his hair

"Ethel?" Bobby said keeping his eyes closed

"Bobby open your eyes and look at me." Ethel said rubbing his cheek

Bobby opened his eyes for the first in nearly 3 Weeks 

Ethel was tickled she kissed Bobby smack on the lips something she had done in nearly three weeks due to the ventilator

"Hi."

"Hi, sweetheart. "Ethel replied picking up his hand and kissing it she was holding his hand without all of the IV's   he had on in his neck as well

"What happened?"

"Your appendix burst you got an infection the infection ravaged your body you were   also given a cherry biased sedative. That affected you  and a nurse gave you a high dose of chemotherapy." Ethel said nearly in tears Bobby reached up his hand and dried her eyes.

"Don't cry honey. I'm okay."

Ethel took his hand and kissed it and stroked his hair

"Bobby you sacred us all half to death." Joe said walking in with Clint

"Yeah Ethel filled me in"

"You still have a fever but the infection is nearly cleared up. You should be good to go we will keep you in the hospital for about another two maybe three weeks we want to make sure the infection is completely gone." Clint told Bobby checking his vitals.

"Is Jack okay?"

"Yeah he woke up about a week ago he is being prepared to get the bone marrow and Jackie and Kick's cord blood. He is doing well. We didn't tell him you were in a coma. He would have freaked." Joe told him

."can I see Jack?"

"He is in isolation right now he is getting the bone marrow and cord blood. I promise Bobby once you are able and Once Jack is able you can see each other." Joe reassured his younger brother giving him a hug

A few days later Bobby was transferred to a ward. He was still recovering doctors were happy with his progress.

Bobby was on his phone scrolling threw his Instagram. He looked up to see Kick with Lilly, Luke, Bobby and David he had seen Kerry, Michael, Bella, Abby and Caroline the other day.

The boys hugged him

Lilly ran to him and hugged him

"I was so scared I would lose you and my dad. My mom would have made me live with My Aunt Lee and Uncle Stash. Uncle Bobby I'm so glad you okay we all are." Lilly said crying.

Bobby hugged her and kissed the top of her head.

"It's okay Lil. I'm okay. I promise. I'm okay."

"Promise me you will never let my mom make me go live with them?"

"Lilly you have my word. What ever happens you will not go live with your aunt Lee or Uncle Stash." Bobby told her giving her a hug again and kissing her temple.

January 22 2014

"Hi little brother." Kick said hugging him

Bobby hugged her back he was feeling good. He was still very tired. He had gone for a walk down the hall several times.

"Kick Joe and Clint wont let me see Jack."

"You are still not well Bobby the infection almost killed you and the cherry biased sedative nearly killed you. Just take it easy." Kick told him

A week had passed Jack and Bobby sent texts and talked to each other

"Hi Bobby."

Bobby looked up from his phone to see Rosemary and Teddy

"Hi Ro, Hi Sunburn."

Rosemary sat beside Bobby and hit his arm. "That's not nice say you're sorry."

"Rosie we call him that because he burns in the sun."

"but its not nice."

"Its okay Rosie I do like to sun tan and yeah I do get burnt." Teddy told her

"you have a tube in your nose like Jack."

"Yeah."

"My little brothers are okay."

"I'm seven years younger than you jack is older than you by a year."

"No Jack is younger than me."

"Ro,Jack is a year older. "Teddy told her

"Call jack."

Bobby picked up his phone and called Jack

"Hi. Bobby I'm bored Rosie and Teddy just left. I don't want to watch any more Disney movies."

"You're watching Disney movies?"

"Yeah. It's the kids laptop that's all that's on it."

"Ask him." Rosemary said

Bobby put Jack on speaker phone

"Jack tell Bobby I'm a year older than you."

"I cant because I'm a year older than you."

"Nuh. I'm older."

"Ro, you're a year younger than me I was born in 1970 and you were born in 1971."

"Oh. I thought I was older.do you call Teddy sunburn?"

"Yeah."

"It's not nice."

"It's just a weird nickname because he likes baking in the sun."

"Are you better too like Bobby is?"

"Yeah. I'm fine. Still tired but well. I'm gonna go for a nap thanks for the get well picture Ro., Later Robby. Hey Eddy don't bake in the sun." Jack said clicking off his phone

"Oh yeah I made this for you Robby." Rosemary said pulling out the picture she made for Bobby it was a page from an adult coloring book that had written across the top get well soon Bobby Rosemary had colored it. It was a picture of a dog. 

"Rosie its great thank you. "Bobby said kissing her on the cheek.

"When Ethel comes I'll give it to her to take home so it is safe."

"I'll take it home for you. "Teddy told him

"No, Bobby you keep it."

Bobby nodded and put it on the night stand he would get Ethel to take it home later

Teddy gave Bobby a hug and left with Rosemary
