Jack awoke he felt sick. He saw Jackie. She sat up.

"Jackie are you alright your eight months pregnant you should be resting."

"Jack I'm here for you ."

"Thanks I feel sick." Jack told his wife Jackie got Jack the basin the nurse left. Jack was sick.

"Oh bunny." Jackie said rubbing his arm

"I'm okay Jacks ." Jack replied As he was sick again

"I just feel bad you're sick." Jackie said rubbing his arm

" I will be okay kid." Jack replied as he was sick again

"I know I hate seeing you so sick." Jackie said calling for a nurse

"Jackie , I love you so much. I don't want anything to happen to the babies. Your eight months pregnant. You shouldn't be moving around so much. You were in bed rest before I fell."

"I know. I don't want to leave you. Plus I don't have the strength to care for the kids. You have always been there." Jackie said

"I know kid. I wish I could be there for you. The kids can stay at Bobby and Ethel's you can get some rest. I just don't want anything to happen to you or the boys." Jack replied as the nurse came in. She gave Jack some anti sickness.

"Those will help. Mrs. Kennedy do you need a bed?"

"No I'm fine."

"Yes she does that's a good idea. She is eight months pregnant she needs to be able to rest."The nurse smiled as Jack took Jackie's hand. She could see how much in love they were."

"Is this your first pregnancy?" The nurse asked checking Jack's blood pressure.

Jackie laughed and replied," baby number five and six. Jack and I have four three girls and a boy who is exited for his brothers to arrive."

"Oh wow congratulations. Well that is long overdue. "Jackie nodded but told her thanks any way

."Are you Joe's brother?"

Jack nodded.

"Joe is a nice guy. So is his wife Josie." The nurse replied

" Yeah we love them." Jack replied feeling very groggy

"Do you have dogs or cats?"

"Yes we have Charlie a Welsh terrier and Clipper a German shepherd ,we have a cat named Tom Kitten. "Jackie replied

"Get rid of them animals carry disease."

"I asked my brother if it was okay to have the dogs and cat he said it is fine. My brother said when I get the chance to go home they will have the house cleaned and the dogs and cat will be bathed and their nails will be cut." Jack replied

"I wouldn't have animals they are filthy." The nurse replied

"My nephew gave me a salamander for my birthday. But he was dead so we buried him. His name was Meshach. Jack replied

"Ugh gross the nurse said as she fixed Jack's chemo and gave him the drugs she left.Jack and Jackie burst out laughing.

"Hey the idea of the salamander was cute but he did die on the way to your house. His name was Shadrach." Jackie replied

Jack nodded.

Pat, Peter, Eunice, Gordon, Bobby, Ethel, Tim, Liz, Joe, Josie, Jean , Steve, Kick, Billy, Teddy and Joan walked in.

"Hi" Jack replied sitting up a bit.

"Hey how did your first chemo go?" Pat asked

"Good I was just sick I got drugs. Joe what you said before about the dogs and cat will that still be the same?"

"Yes Jack it will be." Joe replied

"are all the kids in school and at daycare?" Jackie asked

"No its day fare." Josie joked.

"yeah John says that." Jack replied

"Jackie how are you feeling?" Joan asked

"I'm tired." Jackie replied

"She is staying here for now. But it told her she needs to go home and rest."

"Jack is right. You need rest." Joe replied

"I know." Jackie replied

"How about you go home and rest. Eunice, Pat and I can sit with Jack." Jean replied

"Jackie I know you want to be here for me. The best thing you can do right now is take care of you and our unborn children." Jack replied

"Come on I will take you home." Joan replied

Jackie hugged and kissed Jack

"Leave the iPad and laptop." Jack told her

Jackie nodded she left with Joan

"How are you doing?" Ethel asked

"Fine I need clothes."

"You mean pyjamas?" Kick asked

Jack nodded

."Oh yeah you have all of us are a part of the mile high club. "Teddy replied

Jack laughed and smiled at his siblings. He fell asleep.

"Can I see my kids soon?" Jack asked as he kept his eyes closed

"We will see Jack." Joe said

"I want to see them before I get really sick." Jack replied

"Okay I will see." Joe replied

Jack nodded "Just rest Jack. "Pat told him

Jack nodded and closed his eyes

."Jack will be okay." Pat told her sisters Jean and Eunice nodded as they sat with their brother watching the chemotherapy drip into his body. Knowing it was going to help her brother get well.
