A group of five sat around a table, A DND board in the middle of them all. They had all been a group for what seemed like forever, y/n being the newest and oldest, she had joined the group a few years back when she had been forced to watch her brother dustin while he went to mikes because their mother had seen a scary movie and didn't want them to end up like the kids in it. She was a lot like the other four but was in high school while as her brother and the others were in middle.
The girl had spaced out during the campaign but who could Blame her it's been over 10 hours, she had only started playing the game all those years ago because she knew the boys liked it and she wanted to learn and get closer with her brither. It was not easy at first but she got used to it and over time she grew to love it.
"Something is coming." Mike spoke dramatically "Something hungry for blood. A shadow grows on the wall behind you, swallowing you in the darkness. It is almost here."
"What is it?" Will asked as they all leaned forward engaged in the conversation
"What if it's the Demogorgon?" Dustin asked making will fall back into his seat with a groan
"Oh Jesus, were so screwed if it's the Demogorgon." Y/n shook her head at the group
"It's not the Demogorgon." Lucas had his hands out exclaiming
"An army of troglodytes charge into the chamber!" Mike placed the figurine on the table
Dustin furrowed his eyebrows "Troglodytes?"
"Told ya!" Lucas stated before chuckling, they all laughed as well
"Wait a minute, did you hear that?" Mike stated making their smiles drop, he looked behind him "That... that sound? Boom... boom... boom!" He slammed his hand on the table making them jump "That didn't come from the troglodytes. No, that... That came from something else....." He slammed the figure on the table "The Demogorgon!"
"Shit" y/n leaned closer to the table
"We're in deep shit." Dustin fell back in his seat
"Will, your action!" Mike stated anxiously awaiting his answer
"I don't know!" Will looked at his friends for help
"Fireball him!" Lucas yelled
"I'd have to roll a 13 or higher!" Will shook his head
"Too risky. Cast a protection spell!" Dustin agreed
"Don't be a pussy! Fireball him!" Lucas continued
"Cast Protection." Dustin urged
"Let him choose" y/n gave the two a look
"The Demogorgon is tired of your silly human bickering!" Mike yelled slammed his hands on the table "It stomps towards you! BOOM!"
"Fireball him!"
"Another stomp, boom!"
"Cast Protection."
"He roars in anger!"
The five of them yelled their voices mixing together
"Fireball!" Will yelled throwing the dice it rolling off the table "Oh, shit!"
"Where'd it go?" Lucas asked standing up
"Where is it?" Y/n asked following, she looked around the floor
"I don't know!" Will yelled doing the same
"Is it a 13?" Dustin watched them
"I don't know!" He continued
