When they made it to the other side some sort of bats were attacking Steve, Nancy was the first to attack by hitting one off with the ore. Y/n didn't know what they were but she knew she hated them.
"Hey there." Nancy said before hitting another, y/n ran to the one by his neck "Quick! Hold it,y/n"
"I got it." She stepped on it allowing Nancy to stab it
"Get it!" Robin cheered for her as she kept hitting it "Kill it! Kill it!"
"Shit!" Eddie look really at one flying for him and he hit it away before yelling at it as if to challenge it "yeah! Come on!"
"Come on! Please!" Y/n said to the one around Steve's neck as she kicked it with her other foot
"Y/n behind you! Watch out!" Eddie yelled as one attached to her back and began biting her
"Robin, get it off me!" She panicked as Robin pulled on it's tail
One went for Nancy so Eddie hit it away "Got it, got it, got it!"
"God damn it! Shit!" Robin kept pulling on the bat "Let go!"
Steve got the bat from around his neck and kept ahold of it's tail "Come here!"
Robin got the bat off y/n and hit it down to the ground "Nancy"
Nancy took the ore and killed it "Go to hell!"
"Come on, come on, come on, you son of a bitch!" Eddie kept hitting at it but it was okay "I said come on! Let's go!"
He stabbed it making it bite onto the stick so he could pin it down to the ground killing it
Steve kept swinging and hitting the bat on the floor back to back until he stepped on it and pulled it in half with his mouth
"Steve!" Nancy went to him when the bats were gone
"Jesus Christ." Eddie yelled throwing the oar "Jesus H. Christ!"
"Are you okay" Nancy asked Steve as y/n went to Eddie attempting to calm him down
"Well, they took about a pound of flesh. But other than that, yeah, never better." Steve looked at his torso
"Uh, do you guys think these bats have, like, rabies?" Robin asked
"What?" Steve asked as they all looked at her
"It's just that rabies are, like, my number one greatest fear. And I think we should get you to a doctor soon because once symptoms set in, it's too late. You're already dead." Robin panicked, more of the bats came flying at them before landing in the gate
"All right. There's not that many." Steve told them "We can take 'em. Right?"
Even more came flying at them, probably thousands
"You were saying?" Y/n asked
"The woods. Come on." Nancy told them and they all followed
"Great. More running." Robin flipped the flashlight and began running after them, Eddie's hand was gripped onto y/n's as they did so

They huddled together under skull rock as they looked up at the bats that passed over them. They waited until they were gone to climb out, Eddie's hand was still firmly grasped onto y/n's
"Oh… okay." Robin spoke first "That was close."
"Yeah." Eddie agreed "Too close."
"Oh, sh… shit." Steve fell against the rock
