"Shit! Shit! We're going down! We're going down!" Steve yelled
"Yeah, no shit, Harrington!" Robin yelled after him
"Why don't these buttons work?!" Dustin yelled clocking more buttons
"Press the button!" Erica ran next to him
"What do you think I'm doing?!"
"Come on, press something! Just press the button!" Y/n yelled as she gripped onto the sides of the box her eyes closed
"Push it!"
They all yelled as they fell to the floor as they stopped
"My groin. It fell on my groin." Dustin complained
Y/n looked to Steve seeing the box on top of him, she picked it us and moved it out of the way before speaking up "Is everyone okay?"
"Yeah, I'm great, now that I know that Russians can't design elevators!" Steve yelled going tho the buttons again
"I think we've clearly established that those buttons don't work." Robin pointed to them
"They're buttons. They have to do something." He continued
"Yeah, if we had a keycard." Y/n pointed out
"A what?"
"It's an electronic lock." She walked to it pointing it out closer "Same as the loading dock door. If we don't have a keycard, it won't operate, meaning..."
"We're stuck in here." Steve shut the box covering the buttons
"Just so you nerds are aware, I'm supposed to be spending the night
at Tina's, and Tina always covers for me." Erica began to warn them "But if I'm not home for Uncle Jack's party tomorrow and my mom finds out you four are responsible, she's gonna hunt you down, one by one, and slit your throat."
"I don't care about Tina! Or Uncle Jack's party!" Steve yelled "Your mom's not gonna be able to find us if we're dead in a Russian elevator!"
"Hey. What if we climbed out?" Dustin pointed to the door on the roof, he climbed on the boxes and onto the roof Steve following behind him

Dustin yelled into the Walkman "We are innocent children and we are trapped under Starcourt Mall. The Red Army has infiltrated Hawkins, and if we are found, they will torture and kill us."
"Hey! take it easy on the Walkman" y/n yelled at him through the elevator"Gonna drain the battery."
"The mall just opened." Dustin told Steve
"So?"
"So someone could be in range."
"What do you think, Petey the Mall Cop is gonna rappel down here and save the day?"
"All right, why are you such a cranky pants" Dustin chuckled at him "after getting to spend the night with y/n?
"Shh! Jesus Christ." Steve quieted him and they began to talk I'm a hushed tone
"I heard you guys talking all night."
"We were trying to figure out a way
to open up the door" Steve argued "while you children were sleeping. After eight hours, we're still exactly nowhere, which is, you know, probably just a little bit of the reason why I'm feeling just... a tad cranky."
"And this has nothing to do with y/n's new guy" Dustin asked
"Who even is it anyway" Steve asked trying not to sound too interested
