Y/n walked out from the bathroom in the basement where she had just taken a shower, she didn't sleep again. 2 days. That's all she had, she couldn't tell anyone they already had enough to worry about with max she couldn't make them worry about her too
"Hey, Dustin, this is Eddie the Banished. You there?"
She looked at the walkman immediately recognizing eddies voice
"Dustin, can you hear me?"
She walked over and picked it up
"Dustin? Earth to Dustin."
"Hey, it's y/n"
"Y/n! Hey. Um, I'm gonna need a food delivery,like, really soon...unless you want me going out into the world."
"No. No, no, no. Don't do that." She shook her head "stay where you are, and we'll be there as soon as we can."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Listen, um… can you pick me up a six-pack?."
"Eddie-"
"I know, it's stupid as shit, drinking right now, but a cold beer would really calm my jangled nerves."
Y/n looked to where max was just before she took her shower, she wasn't there "Hey, I'm gonna have to call you back."
"No, don't you da... Y/n? Ba-Henderson?"
"Dustin!" Y/n went to him
"Mm." He snorted hitting his head on the TV as he woke up
"Wake up."
"What?" He wiped the drool off his mouth
"Aren't you supposed to be on Max watch?"
"Yep. Yep, yep, yep." He wiped his eyes, nancy waking up in the process "Sorry."
"Okay Then where is she?"
"She's right there." He pointed to where she in fact was not "A second ago. I swear, I just dozed off for…" he checked his watch "…an hour"
"What's wrong" Nancy furrowed her brows before wiping her eyes
"Max"
Nancy looked over to where max once laid and saw she wasn't there
The three ran up the stairs immediately and into the kitchen where max sat at the table with Holly
"Morning, guys." Karen said from the stove "Everything okay?"
"Yeah." Nancy nodded "Yeah, everything's okay."
"I think it's so sweet that you guys are sticking together like this." Karen smiled at them
"Could try sticking together at a different house for a change." Ted looked up from the newspaper and to them
"You know you're welcome anytime." Karen rolled her eyes at her husband
"Totally. You're like family." Dustin smiled looking at the pancakes whole Nancy and y/n went to the table"May I?"
"Absolutely." Karen handed him a plate
"Yeah, why not? Take us for all we're worth." Ted nodded
"Okay." Out of spite Dustin started picking up one pancake after another
"Hey." Max shut the tape off and took off her headphones when Nancy and y/n came over
"Hey" they both replied
"You okay?" Y/m asked
"Just couldn't sleep." Max told her "People kept blasting music in my ears, for some reason. But Holly let me borrow some of her crayons." She looked at Holly "We've been having fun, right, Holly?"
