[Vincent hangout!]

-Tinkle

The little golden bell lightly decorated by a red string tinkled as the door suddenly opened, revealing both Vincent and I in disguise.

Luckily it hadn't snowed yet, although it was a bit chilly the tiny café shop we came across secured heat. It had two large glass windows on either side of the welcoming red door which was adorned with frost, and freshly baked pastries shut behind a translucent glass, they produced steam and a tempting scent making me swallow my accumulated saliva.

A cute ginger-head girl with a brown apron on and freckled face greeted us, "Welcome! Care to try some samples we have? Special autumn themed!" Her smile bright, showing her white and even teeth. Unconsciously I smiled lightly, my brother took my leather jacket and hung it on the coat rack while I did the same to his—a perfect example of a doting brothers! ( ^ω^ )

"Hello miss, I'd love to try some!" I couldn't help but reflect her cheerful aura while Vincent occupied a seat already despite us being the only customers here.

After ordering I sat beside Vincent who picked a barstool facing outside the window which was covered in a frosty mist. I wiped a circle in the frost to peer the outside's streets—doing the same for Vincent as I noticed he left his own frosted. My hand reddened and stung however, I appreciated it when my view wasn't blocked or blinded. When he turned to face me, puzzled at my actions, my lips curved upward gently.

"Here is your drinks." The cheerful girl brought us our drinks to the table and the smell of freshly melted chocolate distracted me from my brother. I ordered him the same as mine as he did not tell me what he wanted—he seemed pleased because a small, almost not visible, smile graced his features when he glanced at the melted chocolate, too thick to be hot-chocolate. (cioccolata calda—Italian hot chocolate style! It's really good! There is a French version too, and probably many more replicas)

Hot-chocolate accompanied by pannekoek (South Africain crapes! Once again highly recommend!) was what I ordered. We leisurely enjoyed one another's presence while we watched some carriages pass and commoners stock up before winter. We made light conversations which somehow did not remain awkward despite the contents about weather and health—it was actually pleasant. Perhaps I thought too negatively about the male leads...m(_ _)m

"Vincent..." I began, not realizing what had come over me, "Thanks.." a part of myself wanted to apologize, but then again I did not know what for—so I settled this mysterious feeling as gratitude rather than guilt. He met my eyes, big emerald eyes with hidden maturity, a glint of unparalleled seriousness that I had never seen flashed by so fast that I even thought I had imagined it, "Mhm." His focus once again aimed towards the pastry which was the shape of a leaf, orange and luminous. It was one of the autumn themed treats that I wanted to try however, I once again overestimated Lilius's capacity for food unable to finish it. I laughed while thinking of my stupidity that Vincent constantly had to deal with—when he saw me burst out laughing he looked at me flustered causing me to laugh even more while making a mess of his hair; that somehow added to his charm...damn what are these male leads made of?(._.)

"Come again!" The baker managed to holler out when we left, I waved in acknowledgement.

We spent our remaining time leisurely strolling the streets, our hands in our pockets as they had gotten cold and our breathing coming out in a white mist yet neither of us complained nor did we mention leaving earlier than planned. I was quite reluctant to go back to the estate even though I thought I was being selfish to Vincent for delaying our arrival because of such a reason. The longer we stayed out the more cold it became and, although I can't quite remember when, it began to snow.

Unfortunately my leather jacket, despite being warm did not have a hood, that went for Vincent's as well. The snow piled on our similar black hair and I sneezed. I tried covering it up with a cough, which I only now realized how stupid that was as Vincent immediately became worried.

In end I was the purpose we went back to the Suthier estate. I couldn't help but sigh as me and Vincent squished into the small carriage our knees hitting each other as the carriage shakes and our faces close causing his hot exhaled breath to hit my face—my face blushed upon the peculiar itchy feeling it caused. I suddenly became stiff and remained that way to the estate—which only now seemed a suffocatingly long way...(ーー;)

This isn't so fun...

Oh yeah forgot to mention that original Lilius is having an influence in MC's emotions! Sorry if that was confusing!

Vincent is not a love interest!!

Ah! Watch out! Phew—good thing you missed it...ε-('∀`; ) Is that a grammar mistake..? I'll have to go back and clean it up. Careful not to trip on grammar mistakes on your way out!
