Gentlemen-like

Erdem POV

I stand there shocked while watching Esmeray walk away, swaying her hips more than needed. How was she able to figure out Adonis was going to be the new leader, they kept it well hidden, well clearly not well enough but still, it took my men months to figure it out, I wonder how long it took her. 

"Well then I guess we should get going I need to get backstage before the ceremony starts," says Adonis, god his voice is annoying, is he trying to make it deeper? 

"Yes, we should, congratulations on becoming the leader, goodbye" and before he replies I leave. I need to find Esmeray to figure out how she was able to find out about Adonis. She is a smart woman and the Russians are the first on the ranks but they have no connections with the greeks, no reason to go out of their way to figure it out, so why would she know? 

I walk around aimlessly making small talk with other members and leaders while keeping an eye out for a tall angry looking brunette, as I'm talking with a member of the Italian mafia I caught eye of Esmeray I excuse myself and start to follow closely behind her. She ends up walking to the bar, of course at every single one of these events she always has at least 8 shots, right now she is about to get her 7th if I'm not mistaken. I go and take a seat beside her. "amor I don't think it is very ladylike to be drinking this much"

"And I don't think it is very gentlemanlike for you to be following me but here we are. "

"I was not following you, I just happen to have seen you right at this bar where I happen to have been heading at, it's a complete coincidence"

"Mhm and you constantly looking around the room until you spotted me was also a coincidence"

"yes"

"Ok what do you want"

"How did you know Adonis is going to be the new leader of the greeks?"

"Aweee is littler Erdem upset that someone other than him can figure out top-secret shit, does it hurt your ego"

This woman and her smart-ass mouth. "Love, it takes a lot to hurt my ego, I'm just simply curious that's all"

"Mhm well go be curious elsewhere"

"so you won't tell me"

"well whats the fun in that," she says while pouting trying to look all innocent, gosh I fucking hate her. I hear her order another tequila, its always her go too, I watch as she downs the shot then orders three more. I sit there and simply watch her down all three shots. 10 shots. She has never done that before her limit is always 8 she has never once exceeded over that but tonight she is, I wonder why. When I zoned back in I see 4 new shots, empty in front of her, 14 tequila shots now she's about to order another one until I stop her. "I think that enough"

"I tHiNk ThAtS eNoUgH" she mocks me, she fucking mocks me like she is a child. 

The bartender is about to put her new tray of shots down until I give him a deadly glare which has him turning away and giving the shots to someone else. 

"What hey those are mine, my shots"

"No you've had enough come one let's get you to your table they are announcing Adonis as the leader in five minutes" When I say that she goes rigid, completely still for about 10 seconds, her eyes have this sort of look in them, scared, she's scared what the fuck. I have known Esmeray for years and not once have I seen her scared even when I had her pinned with a knife to her goddamn throat she did not show an ounce of fear but now she is. "Esmeray" I call her name and she seems to snap out of whatever trance she was in. " Are you ok? you blanked out"

"Don't act as you care about me, I know you hate me and right after this stupid ball is over were going right back to trying to kill each other, don't act all nice asking me if I'm ok, but if you must know yes I am fine I'm just drunk, let's get going" she goes to stand up but falls right back down groaning and holding her head. 

"I apologize for trying to be nice, but you are clearly drunk let me at least help you to your table" 

" Fuck you" and with that, she stands up on wobble legs and starts walking away to her table I presume. I do not know what just happened but I do know something or someone has Esmeray scared. I ask the bartender for a whiskey drink it all in one gulp then leave to my table. 

Once I get to my table I notice that Esmeray is situated right in front of my table, perfect I can keep an eye on her drunk self, make sure she doesn't cause a scene or something. There's small chatter going around until we all hear the sound of a microphone. 

"Hello everyone, thank you for attending this very special Ball, as you all know today we will be announcing the new leader of the Greek mafia, everyone please welcome Adonis Castellanos" Everyone starts clapping their hands and cheering except Esmeray, she's just sitting there stiff not moving any part of her body, weird. Adonis then goes on stage to say a few words but I'm not listening I'm watching Esmeray near the middle of his stupid speech she excuses herself to get up and leave, I do the same I follow slowly behind her and watch her enter the women's bathroom. I wait outside for about five minutes after that I enter. 

"Looks like someone has you scared" 

Next thing I know there's a fucking knife held up to my throat.

hey, guys how do we like this chapter? any thoughts opinions? honestly, this chapter was fun to write I love writing in Erdem pov Idk but the male pov in Wattpad books always hit different at least in my opinion. Anyways I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! I'll try and update again tomorrow I'll see how it goes.
