A week. That's how long it had been since I was living in this house in the middle of a forest. Literally in the middle of nowhere. I had tried escaping many times but it all went in vain. Richy would yell at me for hours whenever I tried to run away. I couldn't help but wonder how Hannah and the group had been doing. Yes, I know they picked her over me, and honestly, I wasn't mad at them. I can understand why they did that. First, Hannah's condition was miserable and she had to be saved. Second, they knew her way before they knew me. I was just a stranger who happened to help them in finding her. She was their friend before I was. However, it still hurts that Jake didn't choose me. He promised me that he will come for me, but I don't know if I should keep my hopes up.

I came out of the bathroom, still wrapped in my towel, I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice Richy staring at me. When I looked at him, he was staring at me with adoration. But I couldn't help but snap at him. "What are you staring at? Have you forgot how to knock on a door?" I glared at him causing him to clear his throat and look away.

"I-uh, I came to tell you that  breakfast is ready."

"Okay..? Now go."

Richy has been treating me kindly, I expected him to keep me in chains and torture me like he did with Hannah, but he has been doing anything but that. I quickly got dressed up and went to the kitchen. He brought new clothes and other supplies for me the very next day after he got me here.

I sat down and stared at him, seeing how he was making breakfast, what if he adds poison in it? I need to be careful.

He placed the plate in front of me and sat opposite to me with his own. He started making some small talks but my answers were short and cold.

"Why don't you talk to me?"

"Are you seriously asking me that? You have kept me as a captive. I can't go anywhere outside. I can't live my life like before. I can't talk to my friends-"

"Those people aren't your friends."

"They might not be. But I have a life outside of Duskwood as well, in case you forgot."

"Right. Look, I am really sorry, MC."

"No, Richy! You are not sorry! You would have let me go if you were! I don't want to stay here!"

"Why? I am giving you everything!"

"Everything except my freedom!"

"I will not let you go and that is final. I am sorry."

I was tired of hearing this everyday. I hate this place and I hate him. I just want to go back to my life. My eyes became blurry as my tears threatened to spill out. Richy immediately got up from his seat and came up to me. Without wasting a second, he tightly hugged me. "I just love you so much that I couldn't even bear the thought of loosing you. Please, MC, please give me a chance." I didn't reply. He never explained to me why he had kidnapped Hannah. He just said that it was irrelevant for us now. So I stopped asking him.

We spent the day on the couch watching movies like our usual routine.

The next day I woke up to find the house empty. All our stuff was packed up in boxes. Richy told me that we have to leave Duskwood. I tried protesting but it was no use. Reluctantly, I had to go to god knows where as I had cried myself to sleep in the van that Richy was driving. After what seemed like hours, we arrived to a new place. Great. We were on the other side of the country. Far away from our past. I had lost all hopes of someone finding me.
