Third person's POV

Mina's lips pout on their own upon thinking that she will get the punishment for real this time, but she quickly brings her pouty bottom lip back in after remembering that she can't show her weaknesses right in front of her enemy. But it's a little too late, Chaeyoung already saw it, and who would have thought that little gesture of vulnerability from Mina could do such wonders, as right that instant, the Queen's heart is melted, uncontrollably twisting and turning in all directions,

Thump...thump...thump...

Chaeyoung quickly stands up and turns away to hide her unexpectedly fast and loud beating heart. The last thing she wants, is for Mina to know about her inner feelings, as she determined to bury it no matter how hard it is,

Mina thought that Chaeyoung stood up to get the whip, so she keeps glancing at the Queen to check while sobbing even harder. She wants to get out of this punishment so badly but her pride is still as high as the mountain. She knows that the Queen must be so mad right now, but even with that, she still won't say sorry,

After calming down her heart, Chaeyoung turns back around to look at Mina, she can clearly see the wordless pleading in those pretty eyes eventhough the girl refuses to say it out loud. At that moment, Chaeyoung just knows that this would be the first time ever she loses to someone. The Queen sighs defeatedly, 'Mina, you are lucky that today is my coronation day, I'm in quite a good mood and therefore I will let it go. But remember, there is no next time, understand?' Chaeyoung completely forgoes the punishment,

Mina stops crying, her face lits up, she repeatedly brings her hands up to wipe those left over tears on her face while giving Chaeyoung a nod, indicating that she understands,

The Queen creases her brows at the casual nod from a slave, 'Mina, a slave can't just nod at her Master like that.' She says, she's trying to teach Mina but at the same time, trying not to use her stern voice because she's worried that she would make the girl cry again,

But that's enough to remind Mina about her situation which she just forgot for a short moment, 'Yes, M...Master, I understand.' She quickly replied, she surely does not want to make The Queen angry again,

Chaeyoung clears her throat, 'Ehmmm... you can go back to your slave quarter now.' She tells Mina then proceeds to walk to her office table and sits down on her office throne, getting started on her daily work, checking on all propositions from the government members,

The Queen is already halfway through reading one of the propositions, but Mina is still kneeling there, not moving. Others would have run out of there as fast as they could, in case the Queen changes her mind about the punishment, but this girl somehow stays. That surprised Chaeyoung a little, she stops reading to look at Mina, 'Why are you still here? You want that 20 strokes, don't you?' She asks with a voice full of authority,

Mina looks up at the Queen, her eyes get teary again as of that instant, 'No no no, M... Master, I don't want it.' She immediately answers while shaking her head repeatedly,

'Then why are you still here when I already told you to leave?' Chaeyoung is trying hard to use her cold tone,

Mina looks down at the ground, 'M... Master, I want to leave as you told me to, but... but I can't. I...I can't move my legs, they are so numb because... because I have been kneeling for too long.' She nervously explains,
