Third person's POV

Everybody else in the room is looking at the Queen with their eyes widen. No one has ever made it out alive after 60 strokes of flogging, so this 90 strokes punishment is basically a death sentence, a very painful death sentence.

And when the two guards bring in the flogging equipments, Mina breaks out in cold sweats. The long flat cross shaped chair and a big stick as long as half of a man are placed right in front of Mina. Has a beloved Princess like her ever seen such scary things in her life, she breathes shakily while looking up at the Queen with tears are already built up in her eyes. She herself knows that it was indeed disrespectful for a slave like her to talk to the Queen like how she did, but she couldn't help her stubborn self, and now she will have to pay a heavy price for it.

So worried for Mina's life, Head Court Lady Nayeon quickly pleads the Queen for the girl's sake, 'Your Majesty, please think about it again, this punishment is way too severe for a... a former Princess like her.'

Vice Chief of royal guards Dahyun also helps, 'Your Majesty, please spare her life!'

Chaeyoung glances at Mina, doesn't matter how angry she is right now, but if Mina says sorry, she will abort the punishment right away. She was waiting for it, then she waits a little longer, but there is only silence from the stubborn girl. 'Your Majesty, please!' Almost everyone in the room tried again to change her mind, but Chaeyoung ignored them all this time. Only Mina can save herself now by asking for forgiveness, but the girl is too stunned at the moment, she is too terrified to make a sound.

The guards proceed to take Mina by the arms,

'No no, please don't!' JiHyo and SeJeong are holding onto Mina tightly, wanting to keep her safe, but two other guards quickly pull them out. With that, Mina was brought straight to the cross shaped chair, she is made to lie down flat on her stomach, her arms and legs are tied down tightly to the edges of the chair,

'One!'

One of the two guards begins to count, then the other guard lifts the big stick up high and strikes it down at Mina's behinds,

'Ahhh...' Mina screams, the pain is immeasurable for a Princess like her to take, tears are falling nonstop from her eyes like a waterfall,

'Two!'

Another stroke was made, adding more pain on top of the previous one, 'Ahhhhh...' Mina screams louder, she can feel her ears are popping and her eyes are getting blurry,

'Three!'

The poor Princess starts to lose touch of reality, the pain is way too much for her fragile body to take,

'Four!'

Her soul has left her body, the previous pain hasn't subsided, the new wave of pain just comes crashing in,

On the other hand, the Queen has been closing her eyes tightly to hold in her own emotions. She holds her fists so tight to stop her hands from shaking, so so tight that her nails have digged into her palms and they are now starting to bleed.
