Chapter 23

Third person's POV

Being this close to this sleeping beauty is not easy for the Queen's heart, Chaeyoung can't seem to hold herself back any longer, she leans down and places a loving kiss on Mina's forehead, 'My pretty Mina...' she then places another adoring kiss on the tip of the girl's nose, '... My innocent Mina... just a little longer, wait for me just a little longer, I'm figuring out the way, the way for us to be together...' the Queen diverts her eyes to Mina's kissable lips, she wants to kiss them so badly, but she loves Mina so much to the point that even being the powerful Queen of a whole Kingdom, she still respects the girl's decision for that extra step. Chaeyoung smiles warmly at the sleeping Mina, 'Your lips, they are impossible to resist, do you know that? But... I will wait, I will wait for your permission to kiss your lips.' She gently says.

Next morning, Mina slowly stirs awake, she stretches her body but still having her eyes closed, feelings so relaxed after having the best sleep that she hasn't had in a while. The bedsheet and blanket are so soft, together with this calming fruity scent, helping Mina feels so satisfied and peaceful. She stretches her arms wide to relax her muscles, and she can tell that the bed is huge as her hands can't even reach the edges, and that's when it hits her,

'Wait a moment! This isn't my bed!' Mina's eyes shot open, she stays lying there frozen while her eyes are looking around the bed to check, and she can tell that this luxurious setting belongs to a royalty, 'This... this is the Queen's bed.' She thought to herself while having her mouth agape upon the realisation,

But then common senses rushed back into her, waking up on someone else's bed means that... Mina sits up immediately, she is furiously checking on her own clothes, and they are all still perfectly intact. She heaves out a sigh of relief and only then she saw the Queen who has been sitting at the tea table not far from the bed, drinking her tea while watching Mina this whole time,

'You felt asleep last night and I carried you to my bed so that you can have a better sleep, but then you think I took your body while you were unconscious? So that's what you really think of me? I'm an evil Queen after all, humh?' Chaeyoung asks, but deep down inside, she's really hoping that isn't what Mina thinks of her,

Mina quickly gets off the bed and kneels down on the floor, 'M... Master, that isn't what I meant. My action was just a... a simple reflex.' She explains. Mina doesn't want to upset Chaeyoung because she knows the Queen has shown her mercy already. It's the matter of fact that if the Queen wants to, she has every right and all the power to take Mina's body however and whenever she wants,

Chaeyoung steps closer and crouches down in front of Mina, she lifts the girl's face up and starts to gently caress her chin just like the other time, as she has missed this feeling so much, 'Is that so?' She teases, 'But what do we do? I'm already offended.'

Mina looks at Chaeyoung with her cute puppy eyes, checking if she is really upset at her or not, but the Queen's expression is unreadable,

'And I have never seen a slave who dares to fall asleep in front of her Master like you.' Chaeyoung continues to talk while not letting go of Mina's chin, 'And because of that, I have no choice but to punish you. Everyday at the hour of the monkey, you have to come to my office and kneel down next to my throne just like last night.' The Queen decided to use this as an excuse to see Mina everyday, and ultimately stopping JeongYeon from seeing the girl as well,

Mina sadly pouts her lips upon receiving yet another punishment. She looks at Chaeyoung then looks away then looks back again, debating with herself if she should argue, because the Queen was nice enough to let her to sleep on her bed, but what's with all these unreasonable punishments. Mina just can't seem to swallow this unfairness without protesting,
