A week has past luz came over a lot more to hangout with her mom and mark Camila had a day off she sat on the couch watching TV with her partner mark they heard a knock on the door mark gets up and opens the door "good to see you again Luz! Come in" luz smiled and walked in "good to see you to mark" "hey mija we are going to get a order and come back to watch a movie you wanna come or you wanna wait for us?" "I'll come with you guys" they all exited the house and got in the car mark started the car and they waited a few minutes then they arrived at the pizza place got their order and bought some drinks mark paid for the food and gave a tip they went all the way home and sat on the couch camila played a movie and put the drinks and pizza on the table then they turned off the light as the movie played
Luz felt really happy 'Eda king my friends mom mark are my family' Luz and mark had been cracking up jokes during the movie camila just chuckled
They even had made up their own hand shake luz and mark got along so well luz had seen him as a father figure a few minutes in the movie luz had fell asleep mark covered her in a blanket "I'm so happy to see you and luz getting along" "personally I had a job as a care taker so when you and me got together and you told me you have a child I wanted to be in her life like I am in yours" "thats so sweet i appreciate that so much and luz seems to be really happy spending time with you" mark honestly wanted to be a father figure to someone he had always wanted kids or to take care of them since it brought him joy to be there for someone

Luz woke up soon and finished her drink "what did i miss?" "Well the character travels the world to find a way home going through Trials and then they made it to where their destination was" "oh okay"
Luz sat up and stretched she then stood up and left to the bathroom after she did her business then washed her hands with soap and dried her hands then left the bathroom and joined back seeing camila and mark luz then used a crumbled up piece of paper and started using at as a ball kicking up in the air like a soccer ball mark noticed and walked over to luz "I have a soccer ball and a basketball if you wanna see them" "sure!" Luz and mark left and he opened the closet door grabbed them and handing them to luz "which one you want to use"
"The basketball" he grabbed the soccer ball and placed it in the closet and closed the door they went outside and started playing basketball one on one with each other mark scored four shots as for luz scored six shots "your good at this" "thanks" the had been getting distracted by playing the game so much time has passed luz nearly trips over and gets caught by mark he pulled her back up "you okay?" "Yeah"

Mark and luz continued to play a few more rounds luz snuck the ball past mark and threw the ball in the hoop "yes!" She jumped around in excitement mark smiled "that was awesome da-" she stopped and backed away "im sorry" mark was worried it had been awhile he had seen a kid act like that "hey look at me" he slowly approached her making sure not to frighten her "its alright Luz im fine with it" he slowly but carefully put his hands on her shoulders "are you okay? Do you want to take a break?" "Yeah and I'm sorry mark" "no need to apologize luz" luz actually felt embarrassed she nearly called him dad "are you okay with calling me dad? If yes of course you can but I understand if its to soon I don't want you to be uncomfortable, let's take a break and get some water" luz was taken back that it didn't bother him and that he was okay with it since her step father on the other hand.. Was nothing like mark. He was nice to her and her mom they shared similar interests he was a good guy they went inside and got a glass of water she was also surprised that mark didn't mention it to her mom mark handed her water and grabbed one for himself they sit down and took a five minute break "mija I'm gonna pay some bills I'll be back" "yes mom"
She closed the door behind her as she exited the house and got inside her car driving away soon she was gone "mark?" "Yeah?" "At some point.. Can I call you dad?" "Sure if its okay i can call you daughter" "that actually sounds nice" they finished and continued to play basketball for the rest of the day "alright lets see how many shots can you get" he passed the ball to her she started to dribble the ball and made the shot "one"
She made another "two" she missed
"You were close" she tried again nearly misses but made the ball go in the hoop "three" and thats how it went then it was marks turn he only missed one shot "woah that was cool" "you seem to be a talented young woman" "really?" "Yeah it takes skill be that good in basketball" it took luz awhile to accept compliments but she is slowly learning to love herself even if its taking a long time she would try to love herself at least a little bit

Eda came to pick up luz so the latina packed her belongings and waved goodbye to mark "hey mija" he called out which she walked up to him "here" he handed her the basketball "for whenever you wanna play" "oh thanks ..dad" "your welcome mija she turned to leave he went back in the house as luz got inside eda's car "I also have to do something so it'll take us awhile to get home" luz placed her stuff next to her "okay ma" eda smiled and started driving half way home they stopped at a store luz was allowed to come inside and explore to which she stopped and saw a deck of cards she looked at them in awe
And stayed there the rest of the time looking at the cards and characters she remembered she had a card collection over about 50 she had in her bag she checked her pockets and pulled out ten bucks which was enough to buy two packs after she purchased them eda came back out it was time for them to leave  luz then remembered somewhere at her moms house there was a card collection to which she thinks belongs to mark since her mom wasn't so much into cards she was a puzzle person that liked to solve puzzles and quizzes
