kings backstory: chapter 16

King jumped on luz's chest trying to get her to wake up "luz!!" She woke up and sees king giving her something in a bag luz was confused "open It!" He sat down wagging his tail luz sighed and opened the bag to see a small object she took it out to see earrings and a pocket watch she was curious and looked at King he was wagging his tail looking very happy she then saw a note she picked it up and read it this is for you you are my favorite human the note read " well what do you think?" he asked excitingly with his tail still wagging she smiled and petted him "I love it it was very thoughtful of you" king was very happy to hear that now that luz thought of it she never really heard kings back story or how eds met him which made her more curious she wanted to find out his backstory but was also a bit worried what if it was something he didn't want to talk about she decided to go with her gut and ask "so king" he looked at her tail stopped wagging "how did you and eda met?" King was now thinking about it but he didn't seem to have a clue either "I don't exactly remember I was very little when eda took me in maybe she knows!" They both got up from the bed and started walking looking for the adult to see her sitting on the couch watching TV "hey Eda do you remember when you and King first met?" the woman looked at them padded the seat next to her which they joined her she turned to them "I guess I oughta tell you"

Eda was walking around in the dark forest after escaping her ex boyfriend she pulled out her flashlight walking around she was high on her senses
It was dark damp and cold, "some people just don't understand no means no" she grumbled a twig snapped she turned around shining her flashlight the heard the ruffling in the trees in the bushes she ran as fast as she could half way out the woods till something jumped infront of her she kicked it "ow!" she ran to it to see a small demon so fragile and scared and injured he was whimpering she picked the furry demon "I'm sorry!"
She held him and ran away with the demon in her arms. She bandaged the small creature and gave him food the demon looked at her happy and satisfied and calm now wagging his tail "your a cute one" "where did you come from she noticed a marking on his fur a weird symbol "I'm going to cursed huh?"

"I never found out where he came from" "and I spent the last year's doing research on the symbol he had on his fur I still haven't found anything but I know it has something to do with where he's from" King was actually more curious then ever "all I know is I always wonder how you ended up in the woods that night" "why was your ex chasing you?-" luz asked a bit concerned "because I told him i didn't want to get back together with him when he tried to get me back he blew up at me and started chasing me" Eda smirked "but he never caught me and the last thing I gave him before I ran was a broken nose" she held up her fist as a joke
Luz chuckled king was lost in thoughts "when do you research it?"
Eda shrugs "whenever I have the energy mostly I do it twice a week"
Eda pulled out some books notes pictures drawings and showed them seeing nothing but a dead end they were all curious now well mostly King and luz they left the living room Luz made a plan to go to the library soon to see if she could find anything then she may have or have not stole a drawing from the book that Eda made of the symbol while eda wasn't paying attention,

Later luz went up to the library by herself she walked inside and started going through some books at instant skinning for buck she didn't pay attention to who was watching her gut then told her to leave the area and go somewhere else she listened her she was saved a few times by listening to her instincts which her mom always told her to always trust her gut and she did most of the time it was just anxiety she listen to it soon after she paid attention to the books most of the time hours fast she was able to recover a bit of information with ancient language that has something to do with demons she had seen some pictures but the books were old and the pages were ripped out just what she needed she pulled out her phone and started taking some pictures to save them into her gallery after that was all the books you could find and took some notes she closed the book put them back where they belong and started to leave.

Luz left the library walking home she heard footsteps behind her she turned around and saw no one which creeped her out and something in her told her to run she did then her footsteps running behind her she ran even faster he ran as fast as she could not looking back she knew that it would distract her slow her down she couldn't let that happen she felt something hit the back of her head that didn't stop her although it did hurt a lot POV
I do not know what this person wants for me does it have to do with the fact that I was researching on demons with a weird symbol is it a school bully is it just a random person that wants to attack a child what do they want what are their intentions whatever it is they are definitely not good and I should not let them catch me no matter what I have to keep running as long as I possibly could even if it hurts my lungs. Luz kept running she jumped over a few things randomly jump in a moving car unnoticed she barely got to have a look at the person that was chasing her since the car drove away so fast she laid there for a while catching her breath 15 minutes later the car stopped she jumps out runs away and makes it back home she opens the door to see Eda in the kitchen making something to eat along with some parts of laundry she had on the couch sitting "oh your back kid can you help me with the laundry?" She nodded and started to fold the clothes soon she snuck the papers and notes in the folder which could seem to help eda with her research still having the pictures on the phone

Luz laid in bed looking closer at the pictures seeing more symbols she wrote them down and found locations to ancient ruins she made a plan to go there with Eda of course she could possibly get chased again which is something she doesn't want right now and they could finally find out more about King she really loved backstories
