Reunited

-Chapter - 38 - Even bigger surprise -

-Paris France-

After learning about the good news of Nathalie's pregnancy, both Gabriel and Nathalie did not want to wait a while longer to get on that private jet to fly back to Paris. Upon arriving back to Paris, Adrien's bodyguard was already there waiting for them, and so was the moving truck.

The Le Bourget Airport, where private jets land, is about a twenty-minute drive to the city center. They'd been driving back to the estate for quite some time and were almost there. They didn't bother waiting till their stuff were loaded onto the moving truck since they were both filled with excitement to wait longer to inform everyone about their discovery.

Although Nathalie knew Gabriella and Adrien would be overjoyed with the wonderful news they were going to share with them, she couldn't help but feel anxious as they came closer to the estate. Gabriel noticed her chewing on her lips and fidgeting with her fingers as he directed his attention to her. He calmly called for her name but received no response. She was looking forward, fully distracted by all of the thoughts that were piling up in her head. Gabriel grabbed for her hand, causing her to jump a little.

Nathalie turned towards Gabriel and instantly saw the kind smile he was giving her. She looked down smiling, then returned her gaze towards him once again.

"I'm sorry, Gabriel, I don't know why I'm so nervous," she chuckled, "What will Lucy and Nathaniel say?"

Gabriel stroked Nathalie's cheeks with his other hand, and she inclined her head towards his hand on her cheek. "It's perfectly fine to feel anxious. I must admit I, too, feel it. But you know what, the eagerness I feel surpasses it," he smiled at her once again, "Don't worry too much, darling," he added, then pulled her to him gently, "And as for Lucy and Nathaniel, I'm confident they'll be happy for us."

Nathalie nodded, and took a deep breath while she stroked her stomach.

Adrien, Gabriella, and Blaire were working on a painting to surprise Gabriel and Nathalie when Adrien got a call from his and Marinette's wedding planner. He hastily excused himself from the girls and entered his father's office to take the call.

"What's taking aunt Nathalie and your father to come back?" Blaire asked as she switched paint brushes.

Gabriella shrugged, "I don't know, maybe they are still packing up?" She smiled, "Oh, who knows maybe their on their way back?"

A few minutes later Adrien came back out of the office, "I'm sorry that took so long. If you will excuse me again, I have to use the bathroom," he said, then quickly sprinted into his room, the girls giggling as they watched him.

As they waited for Adrien to return, the girls continued to paint while conversing with one another. Gabby accidently knocked over the cup of water, after Blaire told her a joke about Gabriel's assistant.

"Oh no! Sorry!" Gabriella exclaims seeing the water starting to drip of the table.

"I'll get a mop!" Blaire offered but Gabriella stopped her.

"No it's okay, I made the mess so I should be the one to clean it up! Be back!" Gabriella says, not looking at her cousin while she ran into the dinning room.

Gabriella was racing towards the dining room, when Julianne came out of the room. The assistant's gazed was fixed on the screen of her phone. As Gabriella looked forward, it was too late, she crashed into Julianne, causing her to drop the phone from her grasp, landing on the floor face down.
