-Agreste Mansion-
It has been six days since Gabriel returned from prison, but the tension between him and Nathalie had only grown stronger as he chose to give her some space until she was ready to open up to him again. They barely saw each other and communicated. Gabriel would stay in his atelier, while Nathalie stayed in a different part of the house.
Gabriel has also been unable to check his email for the past six days. He knew it would only upset him to discover that no clients were trying to reach him.
Despite the fact that it was the holiday season, Gabriella and Blaire were expected to attend school to make up for some of the lessons they had missed during their almost two-month absence from school. It is done so the teachers can ensure the girls do not fall behind.
-Wednesday afternoon-
Gabriel stays isolated in his atelier every day after Gabriella leaves for school, designing not for a client but for the fun of it and to keep himself busy.
Whilst he was sketching, he heard a knock on the door.
"Come in" He says expecting it to be Lucy, Nathaniel, or even his son.
As soon as the door swung open and revealed Nathalie, Gabriel's eyes widened.
He quickly placed his stylus down and began to approach her. Normally, she'd be elsewhere, not showing herself to him until it was time to go get their daughter from her school. When he looked up at the clock, it was two hours before they even had to get Gabriella.
"Do we have to get Gabriella from her school earlier today?" Gabriel asked. Nathalie didn't say a word back and just shook her head.
Gabriel cupped her cheeks and asked, "Is everything alright? Do you need anything?"
Nathalie sighed and removed his hands on her cheeks, "Everything is fine, Gabriel. I just came to tell you that Anne is here to see you."
"Anne Martin?" Gabriel inquired.
"Anne Noel. She's recently divorced and she is waiting for you in the living room," Nathalie responded in her solemn voice and walked away.
"T-thank you," Gabriel says while he watched her walk away from him without looking back once.
He immediately entered the living room, a bunch of questions running through his mind. Anne was one of his clients, and when she came to visit him, it was to ask him to design her a new outfit for a particular occasion.
As soon as Anne saw Gabriel, she stood up from the couch and went to him, "Gabriel, sweetie! It's so good to see you again!" she immediately hugged him.
Although Gabriel was confused, he hugged the woman back and replied, "It's good to see you too, Anne..."
Anne pulled away from the hug, her hands placed on his shoulder, "Have you heard?!" she asked him and pointed to her ringless ring finger.
"Yeah! You are divorced...." Gabriel smiled at her, "How are you?" He asks her
"Good as ever! It took months, but finally I'm finally free from that psycho! You know, I sold the ring and found out it was only fifty thousand euros?! How cheap of him!" she giggled, "But anyway, that's why I am here for you," Anne grabbed Gabriel's hand and dragged him to the couch.
"I want you to design me a new dress for the celebration I am throwing in Milan in a couple of weeks," Anne tells him.
Gabriel stared at the blonde woman, speechless.
