-A little trigger warning‼️⚠️-

-Hospital-
-Tuesday-

Nathalie awakened and immediately began scanning her surroundings. Her sister-in-law was sleeping on the couch, while her daughter was resting beside her on the hospital bed, with her head on her chest and her arms and legs wrapped closely around her.

A small smile formed on her lips, and she dropped a kiss on her daughter's head whilst she encircled her arms around her. As she lay on the hospital bed, the sound of the heart monitor on her left was all she could hear. Tears welled up in her eyes as she recalled the events of the previous night. First, the secret she and Gabriel had tried to hide from everyone was disclosed. Gabriel was arrested, and she had no idea how he was doing. She thought about it further, and figured she would probably get arrested for aiding him in his terrorist acts. She couldn't help but wonder, ~"What would happen to Gabriella?" ~

And lastly, Nathalie lost their baby. It still hurt too much for her to think about it. She still hadn't accepted it... She had no idea when she would be ready, but she knew she needed time to mourn.

Her tears began to stream down her cheeks as she reflected on all she had done wrong and what she might have done to avoid it....She was blaming herself once again. Nathalieclutched Gabriella closely, trying her best not to wake her daughter from her sleep with her sobs. But she hadn't achieved success while trying to keep her sobs silent. Nathalie immediately brushed away her tears as Gabriella began to shift in bed, knowing her daughter would awaken shortly.

Once Gabriella opened her eyes, Nathalie had already calmed down. She made sure she didn't seem like she cried because she knew her little one has been through a lot from last night.

Gabriella faced her mother and smiled, "How are you mama?" while she laid her hand on her cheeks, caressing it while she kept her smile.

Nathalie closed her eyes for a brief moment and placed her hand on top of Gabriella's hand on her cheek. She sighed and answered, "I'll be alright, darling," she paused, "How about you? How do you feel? Are you hurt anywhere?..." she inquired.

"I'm okay now, mama...And I'm not hurt anywhere, I just feel super worried because father is in jail," she frowned, "I wanted to go to him, to see if he is doing okay, but Adrien said I couldn't because no kids were allowed there. But he promised me he and Marinette will get father out."

Her mother gave her a smile before answering, "Your brother and Marinette will make sure your father is doing well. Don't worry," Nathalie then removed her hand on top of her daughter's and placed it back where it was originally.

Silence fell between them. Each thought about something on their own.

Nathalie's biggest fear has come. She wondered if her daughter knew she was Mayura, or if she knew what her father had done and who he used to be. She was abut to open her mouth and ask, but Gabriella spoke.

"Mama... Did you know father used to be the bad guy?" Gabriella asked, turning to her mother who completely froze while staring at her while her heart beat quickened.

~"She doesn't know"~ Nathalie thought to herself.

When her mother did not respond, Gabriella continued, "I saw him take two jewelry from his pockets and then when he put it on, something came out of them, I saw a blue one and purple. When father said something, they went away and then I looked at father again, he looked different. He looked the same as the bad guy I saw on tv before. Then he said he is still my father and that I don't have to be scared, and he said to trust him."
