Cynthia's POV

"Dude!!" Bethany exclaimed laughing.

"I cannot believe he did that..." She paused.

"And to you of all girls in the school" She continued.

"What's going on?" Sean asked as he entered the auditorium and walked towards us as we were sitting on the stage.

"Nothing...we were just talking about how Damien completely ignored the gorgeous and famous Cynthia Miller and drove off" Madison replied as Sean just frowned in confusion before Madison explained the whole thing to him.

"Oh well...that's upsetting" Sean said trying to keep a straight face but I know him better than that, he is just seconds away from bursting out laughing.

"Come on you guys. I didn't tell you this so you all could torture me with it" I replied.

"And as I said earlier too...he didn't ignore me, he just...well, said that he doesn't cares what anybody thinks about him and...he was in kind of a rush so he left" I said trying to conceive them that this strange encounter of Damien and I has no effect on me and even if he was not so nice to me, I was completely fine with it.

But deep down somewhere I knew that, that wasn't the case. I was not at all fine with how our first ever conversation turned out...his rude behaviour and that 'I don't give a fuck' attitude did have some kinda weird effect on me...an effect I couldn't explain and neither did I wish to show it to my friends, knowing that they won't understand and will just laugh it off.

"No big deal" I added with a shrug.

I really had some mixed feelings about this entire thing...it was like I did feel kinda insulted because nobody and let me repeat that, nobody has ever spoken to me in that way...boys in my school and even outside of my school, would give anything just to talk to me...and getting asked out for a date is nothing new for me but I never said yes to any of them...because honestly I never felt anything for anyone of them.

But then on the other hand I try thinking from his point of view...like maybe he really was in a rush...or maybe he just doesn't likes talking to people because they usually just talk shit about him behind his back.

Or well...maybe he's just a rude ass of a guy who just wants to be left all alone.

And why am I even thinking about all this? It's not like I went up to him to ask him out on a date or something and he rejected me.

I just wanted to congratulate him on his win and apologize on the behalf of my friends just in case he heard them talking shit about him, but that guy's ego is on just something next level...something that I don't wish to deal with.

"Oh sure it is a big deal, darling" Sean said teasingly snapping me out of my thoughts.

"No. It. Is. Not. Sean and if you don't shut that mouth of yours right now, I won't hesitate to fix your face by punching it" I replied already irritated by their constant and unnecessary commentary.

"Why are you all making such a big deal out of it?" I asked shaking my head.

"Oh well please remind me of when has anybody ever spoken to our sweet, beautiful, smart Cynthia in such a rude manner?" Sean asked sarcastically.

"We can't remind you because that has never happened..." Madison replied taking a pause.

"Before at least...until yesterday morning when a guy named Damien basically..." She continued with a grin as I interrupted her.

"Okay enough now. I think I have had enough 'friends time' to last for at least a few days, so now you all can leave unless you too want to participate in this stupid musical" I said while replying to a few texts on my mobile phone about the practice of this play.
