Cynthia's POV

As Damien left me alone wondering if he was really concerned for me or not, I decided to go home straight without seeing any of my friends because I knew they would be in their class right now but more importantly I didn't have the energy left inside me to answer any of their questions about last night, hence I decided to head home instead.

After grabbing my bicycle, I headed towards the exit gate of the school, yawning like a mannerless lady, only to be interrupted or rather should I say distracted by someone.

And yeah by now you might have guessed who that someone was.

Well...it was Damien, of course...who else do I keep bumping into these days?

"You going home?" I asked just as he turned his bike on and was about to leave.

Well...obviously where else would he want to go after sleeping on the cold, hard floor the entire night because of you. Huh! Dumb question, Cynthia, my subconscious said sarcastically while rolling her eyes at me.

Choosing to ignore the snarky comment of the little voice inside my head, I stood there, feeling like an idiot because as usual I was the one talking, I was the one asking questions, while Damien just remained silent, instead of replying...well...it is what it is.

But he did spare me a glance and then he said something which somewhat surprised me.

"You look sleepy...come I'll drop you home" He said with his as usual, poker face.

Wait. Did he just offer to drop me home?

Did he really just offered to drop me home? On that bike of his?

No. Of course he didn't. I mean he wouldn't right? Like why would he? He practically hates the sight of me and on top of that he had to spend his night sleeping on the floor because of me and then later on got scolded by the principal...so I guess that just enhances his dislike towards me?...right?

Gosh! Why do I think so much?

It's exactly this moment that I'm realising that I can be such an over thinker sometimes.

"Huh?" I mumbled subconsciously and it came out more as a question.

"Are you deaf? Library Girl" He snapped and I couldn't help but sigh in some kinda relief...because there he was...the rude and impatient Damien that I knew and have somehow grown to like.

I finally felt like I was in the correct world and not in some parallel universe where he was actually being nice to me.

Wait. I didn't just say that I like him? Did I? No. I didn't. There's no way that I would like Damien? Is there?

How can I say that and more importantly why would I say that when I don't feel that way...

My thoughts trailed off as I glanced at him, who was, surprisingly, still waiting for my answer, and my heart fluttered looking into those mesmerizing, baby blue eyes of his.

Jesus Christ!

Shit! No!

I was wrong and stupid...so stupid to think that I don't feel anything for him.

And so so so much more stupid...that I have actually started liking him.

Holy shit!

I like Damien!

"Alright then..." I snapped out of my thoughts, hearing Damien's annoyed voice.

"Wait" I said as he was about to leave.
