After managing to sneak out of the Inn before the welcome committee could continue this town's weird obsession with staring at her like she was a ticking tomb bomb, Buffy bites into the donut in her hands while she strolls down the streets of Storybrooke.
She couldn't help but moan in delight at the taste of the sugary goodness, after months in that prison cell with nothing but plain toast, the donut was much needed.

Allowing her eyes to scan every aspect of the tiny town, Buffy couldn't help but sigh. There wasn't even a Starbucks in this town, it made Sunnydale seem like the busiest city in L.A.
As she walks Buffy freezes and quickly ducks behind the wall of the building beside her as she spots what she could only guess were the dwarfs from Snow White making their way towards the diner.
Groaning, in no mood to deal with more staring or questions, Buffy ducks into the building beside her quickly shutting the door behind her.

Sighing in relief the blonde exhales deeply before swallowing the rest of the donut in her mouth.

Once she was sure the Dwarfs were gone, Buffy finally allows her eyes to scan over the place she was hiding only to groan.
This had to be a damn joke.
"Funny guys, real funny!" She hisses at the Powers That Be before moving around the stacks of the abandoned library.

The universe was totally messing with her, given how many times she had practically lived at the library in High School this had to be the universe's idea of a sick joke.
Buffy couldn't help but snort as she spots the dust covering the stacks "Giles, would be so mad." She breaths before frowning as she spots the table in the center of the room. Unlike the rest of the place which was covered in dust, the table in the center of the room was spotless, except for the books covering each area of the surface.
Slowly moving over to the table Buffy felt her breath catch in her throat as she spots it.
That one word.

Vampyre.

"You have got to be kidding me." She breaths as she picks up the large book which was almost an exact replica of the book Giles had ambushed her with during their first meeting.
Scoffing Buffy couldn't help but groan, there were five books just like this all over the table, her life was literally nothing more than a storybook in this world.
Opening the book Buffy couldn't help but roll her eyes in disbelief "The tales of Slayers." She reads before groaning, her world was literally childhood bedtime stories here. And not the nice ones, these were the kind of stories you tell at camp fires to scare kids out of wandering off alone into the woods.

'The line.'

At the sudden voice filling her head, Buffy jumps slightly before spinning around only to spot the still empty library, which meant yet again she was probably going crazy.

' Go to the town line.'

"Shut up creepy voice!" Buffy hisses before moving to the backdoor leading to the roof, being stuck in this dark dusty library was giving her a bad sense of deja-vu, she needed some air.

"I hate this world."

**

Sitting on the edge of the roof, Buffy allows her feet to dangle over the side of the building while she flips through the pages of the book she had found.
For the first time in her life, Buffy couldn't put a book down.
While most of this book told stories of previous Slayers, the entries were almost exact replicas of the pages from the Watchers journals she and Giles had read after the whole Dracula and darkness situation.
Exhaling deeply, Buffy couldn't help but groan as she spots the familiar prophecy about her death at the hands of the Master.

This book was literally mocking her.

Realizing she was now in her own dedicated section of the stories given that she could easily spot the image of Acathla, Buffy couldn't help but freeze as she finds an unfamiliar prophecy at the bottom of the page.

However, before she could even allow her eyes to scan over the details, Buffy freezes as she hears a small familiar voice calling out to her. Frowning, Buffy slams the book shut before glancing down at the street below, her eyes quickly landing on the small brunette boy standing at the bottom of the library right outside of the entrance.

"Hi, Buffy!"

As the boy continues to wave at her, Buffy reluctantly stands, she knew if she didn't climb down and talk to him it would only be a matter of time before more people showed up. She could handle one over-excited kid but the entire town, that was a bit much.
Stepping forward, Buffy leaps off the roof landing in a crouch on the ground right in front of Henry who was now grinning up at her In amazement.
Wincing slightly as she stands up Buffy couldn't help but rub her knees "I'm getting too old for this whole thing."

Henry couldn't help but stare up at his aunt, his entire body practically vibrating in excitement, Buffy was officially the coolest person he had ever met "You're like a for-real superhero! That is so cool!"
Inhaling tightly, Buffy rubs the back of her neck awkwardly before desperately glancing around for any sign of Emma or someone else related to the damn kid "Kid, where is your mom?"
"Granny's." Henry explains as he points in the direction of the diner where Buffy could clearly see Emma speaking to Mary Margaret and David "I saw you up there. I have some questions."
Buffy couldn't help but scoff as she stares down at the kid, he was beyond persistent "You're like what 8? What could you want to know?"

"I'm 11." Henry argues before grinning as he reaches into his backpack pulling out the book he had found "It's about this...Can you really lift a car? Are you that strong? Like Captain America? Oh are all Slayers that way or do you have your own special powers? Do you wear a mask to hide your identity? Oh, what about a cape?!"
Staring at him with wide eyes Buffy couldn't help but blink rapidly, this kid was really driving her crazy, she had never met someone so energetic in her entire life "I can bend metal with my bare hands. Does that answer your question?"
"One of them." Henry replies with the signature Summers sly grin which made Buffy falter, giving Henry the perfect opportunity to grab her hand and begin dragging her in the direction of the diner.

"Come on!"

Realizing that the kid was now dragging her to Granny's where pretty much the whole town was gathered for this welcome back party, Buffy quickly halts in her steps, pulling out of Henry's hold.
"Woah, kid..." She breaths drawing his attention "What's with you? I could be a serial killer. Have you ever heard of stranger danger? Me aka stranger."

"You're not a stranger. " Henry replies strongly, without a hint of hesitation again making Buffy pause, this kid was talking to her like he had known her his entire life and it was a little creepy in her opinion.

Spotting her skeptical gaze, Henry merely offers her a kind reassuring smile "You're a hero. Now come on we are having a party." As he tries to pull her again he sighs seeing her still strong reluctance and refusal to take another step. So having no other choice, Henry uses the best move in his book.
The adorable child pout.
What he didn't realize though was that it was the signature Summers pout, the same pout Buffy herself had used a least a million times when she was his age.
"10 minutes!" The 11-year-old practically begs as he yanks on his Aunts wrist "Please There's food and pie!"
