Hello! It's weird to be here again, really.

Anyway...

I found something.

The chapter below was supposed to be a part of chapter 39, but got deleted and replaced with something more suitable. But now that the book is completed, and I still found this, I thought I should share it with you.

A summary, though! This happens the day after Donghyuck returned from Mark's place which, if I remember correctly, was the festival night (??) So now Donghyuck is at home, in pre-heat or heat.

"Are you alone?" he attacked with a question.

"Yes."

Donghyuck's voice was hoarse and dry as if he had a sore throat. He didn't, but it was still hard for him to talk or even put his thoughts together.

"So... Do you want to meet?" Mark repeated but this time his voice was so quiet that Donghyuck had to put the phone closer to his ear to hear it better.

Mark sounded strange too. His voice seemed husky and quite low as if he just woke up. That voice made Donghyuck feel weird. It sent goosebumps all over the omega's body and he would be lying if he said he didn't like that. He wanted to hear more of it.

They had a very hard day yesterday. They both had to be tired after the festival even though they didn't do much. Well, noisiness and scents from people tired them out, not to mention that they were dancing. And what about working at the festival? It was really tiresome!

"I can't," Donghyuck whispered and turned on his other side only to see his sister staring at him.

"Oh... We don't have to meet right now. We can meet in three or four hours if it's better for you this way."

Mark became too talkative. He started to suggest and list the places they both should visit. For Donghyuck, the names of the places Mark tried really hard to recommend didn't have any meaning to him. Yes, they sounded big and rich but Donghyuck didn't hear any of the names before. And that was the worst part. Donghyuck already hated to remember that restaurant.

"I don't think I'll leave my house today." Donghyuck took the chance to interrupt Mark when the paused a bit. "I really want to meet you but I can't."

There was a short pause and Donghyuck took a deep breath when Mark asked what he just predicted.

"Why? Is there something wrong?"

"Yes, a little but you don't need to worry."

Knowing Mark, he probably wore that concern-filled expression. Donghyuck kind of liked when Mark did that because that meant the older boy was always observing his friend. Donghyuck loved the attention Mark gave him.

"What is it?"

"I'm on edge. Not that I'm depressed but I'm standing between two horrible periods of my life and I'm feeling a little down," Donghyuck made his explanation into something other omegas would do, instead of throwing the right answer.

"What happened?"

Wasn't it obvious? Donghyuck attempted to make that understandable without saying two words, which annoyed the shit out of him. His head hurt just by thinking of them.

He clicked his tongue and licked his lips.

"I just got stabbed with five knives," he said with sarcasm but Mark didn't catch that.
