The other alphas who were hovering over Donghyuck felt a new scent filling the air behind, making them spread competing pheromones as they sensed a rival. One of them decided to check what's going on but as soon as he turned around, his face met with a fist. The blow was that strong that alpha immediately fell on the ground without letting a sound. He hit his head on the ground and soon blood came out of his nose.
"What's your problem?" the other jumped out of his place as he saw his friend lying like a corpse.
Donghyuck took the opportunity and got up covering his ripped shirt as he crawled towards the tree to lean his trembling body onto something firm that would prevent him from passing out. He tried to stand up but his legs disobeyed and he fell on his knees. They were like jelly, shaking so much Donghyuck felt them numb.
"Go and find yourself another one! He's ours!" alpha yelled with his voice cracking.
Mark didn't even bother to talk, he just walked towards his opponent and that made the other alpha shit his pants. He started to curse trying to sound like he's brave and strong but made only a fool of himself. It was obvious that he was scared. The alpha was actually a coward who just pretends to be strong in front of weaker ones.
He put his hands into a fist and jumped in his place like he was prepared to fight with Mark. In very truth, he moved so much so that Mark wouldn't notice his trembling body. That guy's pose was so faint that it didn't even look like a pose for fighting. It was more like a pose for a dance or something. He wasn't so muscular too. In Mark's eyes, he looked like a chicken. Mark didn't even get that close but he already panicked and flew like a rocket out of the park.
"You left your friend!" Mark shouted. Alpha disappeared in the shadows without even leaving his scent as if he never was there in the first place. "Good teamwork."
Mark turned around and kicked the body of the injured alpha feeling disgusted by the latter's actions. He was sure that his blow wasn't that strong, but looking at the alpha, Mark thought that he overdid it a bit. He wasn't planning to spill blood in this fight as there was no reason. His opponents were way weaker than him, their low type pheromones betrayed them the second he stepped in the park.
He then looked around searching for Donghyuck and when he saw the boy leaning on the tree not so far from him, he jumped through alpha's body and went towards Donghyuck. The latter hugged himself more tightly as he felt Mark's eyes on him. Mark just saved him, but Donghyuck still felt scared of him. He knew that he can't trust him yet when Mark was looking at him like that. Maybe he saved Donghyuck just to have him for himself?
No one of them wanted to talk and Donghyuck was okay with that. He didn't know what to say anyway. Wrong words at the wrong time can determine his fate. His situation was already bad, so opening his mouth would be a stupid action of him. Donghyuck knew that the better option was to hold his sharp tongue in.
Only then did Donghyuck see his leather bag in Mark's hand. He wanted to take it back, but still sat not even moving as he expected Mark to go away after a few seconds. But Mark didn't move as well and they're both were staying in silence for a whole five minutes.
However, Mark was the first one who couldn't stand the silence as he got a lot to say. He got down in front of Donghyuck and handed him the bag.
"You forgot to take it," Mark spoke with a soft voice looking at Donghyuck. His eyes looked warm and concerned as if he really didn't have any bad intentions making omega loosen up a little bit.
