While Mark was playing with the claw machine together with loud and lively little demons, Donghyuck looked around for his mother. He didn't want to meet her but it was better to do it himself rather than find her spying on them. It was like facing the demon yourself before the demon itself shows up. He was sure that mom would recognize Mark and he wanted to be at the center the least.
He spotted her together with dad, talking with another person a few arcades apart from the claw machine. Donghyuck slipped the pink bear under Mark's armpit and forced himself to come to her while she was talking to another person as she will be really nice at that time. He didn't even come that close when mom literally turned her head in his direction. Shit, it looked like she almost snapped her neck.
"That's our boy!" she chirped and motioned Donghyuck to come closer.
"Just look how good he looks," added the dad, making Donghyuck blush.
When he saw with who they were talking to, he wanted to run as fast as he could but it was too late already as the other person turned around. Donghyuck felt his heart beating so fast as if he saw a predator ready to attack him.
That was his uncle Taeyong. The one who loved him as his own son. He was similar to his mom, even though he was her brother-in-law. Instead of fighting, Taeyong was doing it with words. He was very talkative and Donghyuck was sure that he might kill someone one day with that endless chattering.
When Taeyong saw him, he rushed to him and gave him a bone-crushing hug. Why do omegas in their family have to be this strong? Donghyuck forced a sweet smile but you could see that he was terrified. His mom just smiled.
"Oh my! How are you?" Taeyong asked but soon started to talk for himself. Donghyuck was already used to it, so he just nodded, pretending that he listened. "You're very tall! You've changed so much when you became an omega. I bet you already have a boyfriend, do you? If not, visit me when you have time. There are plenty of lonely alphas. They all very manly and cherish omegas like queens there."
"I'll think about that," Donghyuck smiled, side-eyeing his mom. News about his secondary gender sure spread fast. "You changed too! You've gotten thinner?"
Lies. His uncle was chubbier than before. Strange, because as far as Donghyuck could remember, Taeyong used to be slim and looked like a swan rather than a human being.
"Really? Well, that's unexpected to hear because I'm pregnant."
"Oh, is that true?" Donghyuck gasped. Just then he saw the oversized clothes his uncle was wearing and a small baby bump.
"I'm really happy. Having kids is the best of what could happen in an omega's life. I can wait to see his small face."
Uncle Taeyong purred at the thought of having a baby while Donghyuck just grimaced. They never had something in common with him but their opinions separated right here. Donghyuck, even when announcing himself as an alpha, never talked good about kids. They always were a nightmare to him and he just couldn't help but think about not having them at all. Though, it was really questionable now.
When the topic turned to kids, it seemed like the mom only then remembered two little boys. She looked around and turned to Donghyuck, who was already dead inside the moment uncle opened her mouth.
"Where are your brothers? We were only a few feet apart and now they're gone."
Did she notice it just now? It was already twenty minutes before they got stuck to him and Mark while terrorizing both of them. Looks like Taeyong's talks really burn time that you don't even realize when hours of hours pass.
"They're there," Donghyuck pointed somewhere in the crowd behind him, avoiding pointing directly at Mark.
"Where?" mom furrowed her eyebrows. "Donghyuck don't play around. I'm really starting to worry."
