Donghyuck hated markers. He liked to mess with people while using them but when someone uses it to him, he gets mad. It happened the next day when Donghyuck got to school and saw a newly written word on his so popular locker. Among well-written and encouraging words like full-sun, 100:0, sunshine, fighting king there was the ugly one who said bitch on his locker. Donghyuck pressed his lips into a thin line and turned to whispering students behind him.
"Who wrote that?" he asked calmer than he expected. "I agree with you that I'm a bitch. But I'm not yours so go and cry in the corner, you loser."
Group of students laughed while others still whispered. Donghyuck knew that the one who did that must be somewhere close just to see his reaction. He was glad that he was able to control himself to sound calm enough while he was trembling in anger inside. He hated that word because that just reminded him of his place in the hierarchy.
Donghyuck saw his homeroom teacher's face through the sea of students. Poor beta wasn't tall enough for students to see him and let him pass. Alphas looked like mountains compared to him. Donghyuck couldn't laugh because they were in the same boat. Although he was quite tall for an omega, he still was a little flower surrounded by big trees.
When Mr. Moon finally reached Donghyuck he took a deep breath.
"That was actually the whole journey till I got to you," he said wiping away the sweat off his forehead.
"I hate that. Can't even walk normally in the hallways." Donghyuck nodded. He agreed that hallways were a mess.
"You know I hate some things too and they somehow related to you. Can you come to the class a real quick?"
Donghyuck sighed but gave in. He followed Mr. Moon to the class like a tail, without looking around, just staring at the homeroom teacher's bouncy hair when he was walking. He guessed that they're going to talk about things that happened yesterday. Donghyuck already went through his mom's beating so words from the teacher meant nothing to him.
However, it wasn't the student-teacher talk like it usually was. In the class sat another boy, that omega boy to be exact. Their eyes met and the latter smiled to him. Donghyuck found omegas scent clean and innocent. It smelled like peaches, bergamot and red currant but Donghyuck also felt roses and herbal notes in his scent. He immediately wanted to know his own scent as he was getting jealous of that omega. Not only he looked pretty, but his scent was also great too.
Mr. Moon motioned him to sit next to the boy, but Donghyuck being stubborn just leaned on the desk with crossed arms in his usual alpha manner. The teacher let that slide with a sigh.
"I don't want to talk about yesterday because I know that you probably got enough of that." the homeroom teacher started. "You were a problematic child last year so I didn't expect much changes but when I found out that you are an omega, I knew that you will be a headache for me."
Donghyuck clicked his tongue. Why does he have to be dramatic? Aren't that omegas job?
"Just use a drug for your head."
"No, I'm tired of that and so is your mom tired of you. I know her personally. Taking care of four children isn't an easy job for her nor any other mother. She as an omega must teach you but she's too busy with your siblings that she doesn't give much attention to you. Am I right?"
That was true. Donghyuck was the only one who got the least attention from his mom. Maybe that's why he acts like that? She always spoiled the young ones and his twin but Donghyuck was always left out. It's kind of funny to know that he was an outsider from the very beginning.
