His mom must really hate him. When Donghyuck just got to the kitchen with a pill in his palm, trying to get rid of the thoughts of what he had done in the bathroom, she turned around so quickly that he thought she would snap her neck.
"We ran out of eggs."
"Bullshit. We all have a pair of eggs on us or inside us."
"It's not a biology class here." she rolled her eyes and son's remark. "Go and buy it."
"Why me? Why don't you send dad or Donghyun?"
"You will be faster. They tend to be slow when I ask to buy just one item."
She was right. Donghyuck saw it himself how his dad somehow turned into phlegmatic or turtle when mom requested a bread. It seemed like he forgot where all of the items were in the store and hardly explained what he needs when an employee came to him. In the end, he bought a couple of needless things even though mom requested only goddamn bread.
"I can't." Donghyuck shrugged. "I'm waiting for my heat. Someone can kidnap me."
"Come on. You're not that attractive nor anyone would try to do so in the morning when it's already bright."
Donghyuck groaned but swallowed a pill, grabbed money his mom handed and went to wear his shoes. He decided that he will be faster than ever so he didn't bother to change his grey sweatpants and a quite embarrassing shirt with a cute bear on it.
He stormed out of the apartment and rushed like an athlete down the stairs. He greeted few neighbors in the hallway but they just looked at him taken aback as they can't fully recognize him. Who's that pretty boy? He looks like that brat from x apartment.
When Donghyuck finally left the apartment, he breathed the freshness of the air. It was autumn but it felt like spring for some reason. Donghyuck loved spring as it meant school would end up soon. He was a medium student, he liked some of the classes according to his mood. He hated science and math, though. Theory and formulas were too hard for him. Donghyuck felt like people who understand that were aliens with different brains. It was too much for him to perceive.
There was a supermarket near their apartment building. Donghyuck went inside not even surprised how just a very few people were there. It wasn't his first nor last time when he was sent by his mom this early in the morning. Donghyuck found it amusing. No lines in the cash register, no people gathering around one section, but most importantly silence.
Donghyuck went towards eggs right away. Not thinking much, he took the ones, which were closest to him. He imagined how his mom would react if he didn't check how the eggs look like and bring cracked ones; that thought made him shivered. So, he opened a box and scanned all to one, checking if one of them was damaged. Convinced that everything is fine, he was about to go to the cashier when he realized that the money his mom gave him was too much to just eggs only.
He went to the nearest section where was his favorite drink - strawberry milk. He crouched to look at all possibilities of drinks he could buy, counting in mind what amount of money he could spend. His head was on fire with all the calculations. He suddenly sneezed almost dropping eggs on the floor and without even knowing why he turned around only to meet with Mark's eyes.
"When did you get there?" he jumped on his feet, startled by the sudden appearance of the alpha. Again, poor eggs, he almost threw the box of eggs in the air.
"Good morning." Mark waved to him with that usual friendly smile on his lips. "I didn't think you were an early bird too."
"How quiet can you walk? You're giving me a heart attack. Luckily my nose can sense when someone's around."
