"That's terrible." Donghyuck groaned hitting his forehead on the desk.

It was a literature class and Donghyuck couldn't even pay attention to the teacher nor to the text he was supposed to read. It wasn't boring, it's just that Donghyuck's mind was a mess. Renjun sat next to him and looked rather hurt, with his eyebrows furrowed and mouth slightly open. He too couldn't read as he was just staring at the book with a blank expression, lifting his head from time to time to look up at his friend. It seemed like they both shared something other classmates couldn't understand.

"I hate you," Renjun whispered.

"I hate you too."

"You messed up my cycle."

"Are you sure it wasn't you who messed up mine?"

"What's the problem?" the teacher asked making them both flinch by his voice. Donghyuck even straightened up in his place.

No matter how strange it was, the literature teacher was a big and tall alpha. He looked at them with furious eyes as they just interrupted his precious just-him-and-book time. He actually was a good teacher it's just that students liked to mock him. Someone even spread rumors that he cried while reading the patriotic poems because of his emotional side. No one could say that to his face though. Everyone was scared of him.

"Everything's okay, please continue," Renjun said sending a sweet smile towards the teacher and students.

All heads which had turned to them were back at their previous positions such as laying on desks, playing with phones under them or staring at the ceiling. Donghyuck laid his head on the book again hugging his tummy under the desk, while Renjun just bit his lip trying to covert his mind somewhere else.

Yes, they both were on pre-heat. What was more interesting is that none of them felt any symptoms in the morning. Just as they greeted one another and sat beside, something turned out really wrong as both of them suddenly felt a throbbing pain in the stomach. It was usual to Donghyuck as his heat cycle wasn't regular, but Renjun's heat should have been next week. That's why Renjun thought Donghyuck messed up his cycle as they were the only omegas in their class. Meanwhile, Donghyuck thought that it was Renjun's presence that motivated his stupid body system to prepare for the heat. In very truth, they both just blamed each other without any reason. It was actually the weather that made them like this. It suddenly got warm and autumn felt more like spring, which meant - time to mate!

In the end, Donghyuck didn't even read the text. Luckily, one of the smartest alphas in class was asked to summarize what he just read about and Donghyuck managed to take messy notes. The bell rang making students push each other to run away from the teacher before he could give them homework. The last one was the loser of the class because the left person was the one teacher chosen as a target for presentations. So, even if Donghyuck barely moved from the pain, he still was one of those who had vanished from the class as soon as the bell rang.

He and Renjun exchanged glares and said only a few words to each other that day. It was understandable as no one liked the pain and bad mood it caused. They both realized that they should keep their distance as they were most likely to attack each other. It probably would be a huge fight with a lot of blood spilled, maybe even more than when alphas fight.

Donghyuck smiled bitterly when he saw Renjun squeezing between Jeno and Jaemin just to search for comfort. They both looked confused but reading from their expressions it was obvious they liked Renjun being so clingy. Donghyuck felt jealous as he too wanted someone special he could get stuck to.

He saw Mark at the distance putting books in his locker and made his way towards his friend. As he finally reached Mark, he felt sorry beforehand as he already knew he would be an annoying ass that day. He couldn't help it though. Donghyuck's personality mixed with pre-heat was a whole mood that soon will draw everyone insane.
