EJ POV:

I'm walking down the hallway and I hear sobbing coming from our bedroom.

"Baby are you okay?" As I walk in and see Ricky curled up on the bed.

He shakes his head.

"I can't do this anymore!"

"What? What is it?" I get on the bed and sit next to him.

"All these shots. Why'd I have to be born like this." He barries his head in my chest.

I rub his back. "Are you o..."

"Yeah, it hurts."

"Is there anything I can do?"

"Unless you have $25,000 dollars somewhere I don't know about, I don't think you can."

"Unfortunately my parents disconnected my old bank account so no."

"Can we just cuddle for a bit?"

"Of course."

"Im sorry."

"Why're you sorry?"

"We're supposed to go on our honeymoon in two days and I'm miserable."

"It's okay, it's not your fault. I'd rather you be open about how you feel rather than keeping it in and not having fun."

"And I feel really bad cause we've never had sex together and we dated for three years and we just got married."

"Once again, not your fault. This is how god intended you to be and financially we can't help that."

"Do you think maybe we can postpone our honeymoon?"

"Of course."

Ricky POV:

I wake up and put on some clothes and go downstairs into the kitchen.

"Morning babe." I say as I walk over to the counter.

"Morning hun." He says before he sips his coffee.

I pour myself some coffee and go over to the table and sit down.

He leans over and kisses me. "So I was thinking...... what if we canceled our honeymoon."

"What Why? I thought we were just postponing it."

"Well if we cancel it we can get a refund and start saving up for you to get bottom surgery."

"You would do that?"

"Of course baby, anything to make you happy."

"I am happy, I'm with you."

"But you're not happy with yourself. You have to learn to love yourself before you can love someone else."

"Wow since when did you become a poet."

"I don't know. You're the one who took AP English all of high school."

"Oh god please don't bring back those high school memories."

"I like your name better now."

"Yeah, me to."

"Well I hope so, you picked it. And the only thing that has your birth name on it is your birth certificate."

"And my mom calls me that."

"Bitch."

"Yeah."

"So you want me to cancel it?"

"Are you sure? We don't have to."

"Well I want to do it cause I know eventually it'll make you happy. Well happier."

"Yeah."

My phone starts ringing.

Incoming call from......

Mom

Except. Decline

I answer it.

"Hello?"

"Hi........... son." She chokes out.

"Ok, why are you calling me?"

"I just wanted to let you know I transferred you some money."

"What why?"

"I heard from your dad that you got married recently, so I thought maybe it might help."

"Help with what? We already have a house."

"Yeah but he told me you and your husband were saving up for you to have surgery. And I know your dad gave you guys a check for your wedding gift so thought I'd do the same."

"Why are you all of a sudden being so nice to me now?"

"Well I just wanted my daughter back but I knew that wasn't going to happen so I figured I'd give at least having a decent relationship with my kid a try."

"Thanks."

"Okay, well I gotta go. I just wanted to call and tell you that."

She hangs up.

"Wow." EJ says.

"Yeah, how much do you think it was?"

"She probably only gave me like a hundred dollars but it's better than nothing."

"Yeah, it sucks when neither of us have good health insurance plans."

"Yeah."

I look at my bank account and see there's a lot more money in there than I remember before the wedding.

"What?"

"My dad just texted and said everyone that came to the wedding donated at least five hundred dollars."

"Are you serious?!"

"Well from what I'm looking at it all adds up."

"How much is it?"

"15,000."

"Holy shit!"

"Well once we cancel the honey moon it'll almost 20,000."

"The honeymoon was that expensive?"

"Yeah."

"Wow, well I'm glad we're canceling it."

"Yeah, me to."
