A/N: GAVEY (gif above)

I had almost gotten used to the transitions between my two worlds. One moment I closed my eyes while I was dressed in cotton pajamas and the next second they snapped open and I was dressed in a gray dress with a rosette. I was no longer shocked or frightened, in fact I was almost excited to return to the cafe. The excitement and chorus of cheers was just starting to die down. I watched Enjolras almost amusedly, his eyes were bright with excitement and he was smiling widely. As soon as everything slowly became semi-calm, or as calm as you can get in the cafe filled with students, Enjolras began speaking with Eponine and Gavroche began speaking,

"This is so exciting!" He spoke, his high pitched voice loud and clear,

"I know, the time to fight is drawing near. I think that we need to strike our battle, convey our cause even broader and fight when something terrible has happened to society." I spoke slowly, watching Gavroche, he seemed to get even more excited with every word,

"We will win this! Imagine our future life, we would be free. I wouldn't have to hide myself in a giant elephant statue and I wouldn't have to elude my father on the streets. I could be happy and free. I would never be like a normal child though, I wouldn't want to either. I pride myself on being more than a little boy. In fact I become irritated when I am addressed as a little boy. I am a little 'person' and I am easily underestimated." Gavroche's bright blue eyes went stormy and I felt my stomach churn. I didn't want to see this little boy die, I had always pretended he was my brother. When Vi or Bella would mention Gavroche I would say he was my sibling. Now that I know the true Gavroche I find that he's amazing. He takes offense to being called a boy because he is smarter, stronger and more compassionate than most grown men. I admire Gavroche even more now.

"First we need to fight, before our reward the chain must be broken in battle." I say, my hands making furious motions above the table. I have always had the distracting tendency to do just that. "We need to be careful of spies and we need to keep an eye on the roof. I know that many soldiers attack from there." I rack my brain, trying to think of ways that can change what happens here. "Also, we should surround areas and keep an eye on the barricade, we should also try to get cannons, and position them at the barricade." I keep going, passion rushing through me, I wanted to change what happened that night, I needed to change what happened that night. Who needed history? "Also-" Gavroche stares up at me in awe before grinning and saying,

"Never knew you were a strategist Athena." He smiles before yelling out to get Enjolras' attention. He was speaking with Courfeyrac, they looked simply ecstatic, grins spread wide upon their faces and their eyes alight.

"What is it Gav?" Their commentary makes me smile, I love how they are so caring towards each other and I love how they act like family. When in reality, they probably are the only family a lot of them have. Like Gavroche and Eponine, they rely on the revolution and on the students. Even though the students also rely on them.

"Athena has some brilliant ideas for the battle!" He says, his eyes wide, "Things we've never thought of, she seems to have everything figured out." I blush at this and Enjolras grins. Gavroche continues speaking, I'm not sure why he's sticking up for me like this, it could be because I saved his sister yesterday or because he truly thinks my ideas could help. I was relieved I was being listened to too. With these improvements maybe lives could be spared, maybe we could get the opposing side to surrender, maybe we would win. Maybe Enjolras and Eponine could get married, maybe Gavroche could grow up. I swallow hard, desperation coursing through me, I would do everything to make these things come true.

"So Athena do you have ideas?" Enjolras asks and I nod curtly. It is a nod someone would use if they were agreeing to something permanent and important.
