Chapter 7

Freaking roommate

"Oh, so Mr. Gen is really out? Kala ko nagbibiro lang siya nung sinabi niya ang bagay na iyon." said by a guy. Based on his name tag, he's the Treasurer.

"You can sit right here." nabalik ang tingin ko kay Prez ng magsalita ito. Nakatingin siya sakin kaya umupo ako sa upuang nasa tabi niya.

"So, what's the case?" asked by the gay. So he's the Vice President.

"You all are aware of the girls visitation, am I right?" panimula ni Prez.

"Well, as what I've heard natigil lang 'yon when the former President Quille Herris took the position, Mr. President." said the Auditor.

"Yeah, and now, the girls want to held it again. I shouldn't take decision without your opinion, so state your concern."

Tahimik lang akong nakaupo don at inoobserbahan ang ginagawa nila. Kanya kanya naman silang tingin sa kasamahan. Nagbibigayan ng opinyon sa pamamagitan lang ng mata saka nagsitanguhan.

"Wala namang masama. Since marami rin sa estudyante ang gusto non." -Treasurer.

"I suggest we make a rule. The last time na may naheld na ganito which is bago pa makuha ni former President Quille ang posisyon, maraming parents sa girls ang nagreklamo dahil umuwing buntis ang mga anak nila." sabat ng Vice President.

"And that's the first task of our Secretary right here." napatingin silang lahat sa akin ng sabihin iyon ni Prez.

"Hey, –" I was about to complain ng...

"Okay, dismissed." sa maikling sabi na 'yon ni Prez ay parang hanging nagsilabasan ang officers. Maliban kay Prez at ang Vice nito.

Whatta freaking hell? ano gagawin ko? Ni 'di nga ako makasakay sa pinagsasasabi nila kanina? tos gagawan ko pa ng rule? Paanong rule ba?

Tumayo na rin si Prez sa pagkakaupo nito at akmang maglalakad palayo ng hawakan ko ang laylayan ng uniform niya.

"What am I gonna do?" tanong ko dito.

"Make a rule. I'm a man Mr. Secretary, don't make me repeat myself." saka na ito naglakad palabas. I pouted.

I heave a sigh ng mapansin ang presensya ni Vice. Nakatulala lang itong nakatingin sa akin. I gave him a –what?– look.

"Are... you guys a thing?" my jaw literally dropped on what he just asked.

"Oh, are you straight?" pangalawang tanong nito. Di naman ako nakapagsalita. Umayos ako ng pagkakaupo ng makabawi saka walang emosyon siyang tiningnan. He's question is nonsense.

"We're not a thing whatsoever and I'm a straight." yes, straight girl.

"Well I'm not." pag-amin nito sa akin na di naman nakakagulat.

"I know." sagot ko dito.

"Halata ba? Kanina? Nahalata ba ng ibang officers? Paano mo nahalata? Halata ba ng President?" sunod sunod na tanong nito.

"I don't know." he heave a sigh.

"You're not gonna tell anyone, right? Lalo na kay Caius." napakunot naman ang noo ko.

"Caius?" takhang tanong ko dito. Napatingin siya sakin na parang 'di siya makapaniwala sa sinabi ko.

"Levi Caius Herris, duh? Mr. President." mataray na turan nito sakin.

"Oh, my bad."

"You don't know him? I thought he selected you because you two know each other." he said.

"Well, hindi."

"I see, you doesn't even know his name. So how come he choose you as his Secretary? Alam mo bang pihikan din 'yon?" I shrugged.

"He is, I train hard and smart before I got this position, most of the student na officers are rank A. Bs are rare, and walang S. What rank are you anyway?"

"S." I simply said. He looked at me in shock. Nakatakip pa ang kamay nito sa bibig niya.

"Really!? Ikaw ang kauna-unahang rank S na member. And not just that, being his Secretary is a high rank. The truth is, the former Secretary didn't just quit. Herris kicked his butt out." he said.

"Why?"

"He's not smart enough, mabagal din siya mag trabaho kaya di na nakakagulat kung bakit napaalis siya."

I stand up and was about to walked out of the room when he ask.

"Where're you going?" takhang tanong nito.

"Leaving?" di pa siguradong sagot ko dito. I'm obviously leaving so why ask it.

"And your job?" he again asked.

"Make him do it." di ko na inantay pa ang sasabihin nito at naglakad na palabas. Dumeretso ako sa classroom ko.

I can't juat accept a job that I'm not interested to. It'll be just a pain in my neck. I don't care if anyone knows that that President and I sharing a room. It's not a big deal. Well, for me.

Natapos ang buong araw ng klase. I feel so exhausted ng makarating sa dorm. Wala pang tao sa loob. I know that Caius will be here any moment now. Nakaupo ako sa couch ng may maisip na kalokohan.

Kumuha ako ng pinggan sa kusina at nilagyan ng kalahating tubig. I made a trap above the door.

Nakatayo lang ako sa harap ng pintuan at hinihintay siyang makarating. I'm was about to lose hope when I heard a footsteps outside.

I heard the doorknob clicked and when he entered. My plan is a success. The water splashed on him and now he's sucking wet. I smirked on him while he just emotionlessly looking at me.

"Did you just made this?" he stupidly asked.

"I'm not just gonna stand here and listen to you accusing me to something I obviously did–"

"Get out!" he cut me off.

"No! I'm leaving." I said saka siya iniwan doon. Pumunta akong kusina saka hinanda na ang dinner ko. A few minutes later, he entered the kitchen. Tapos na rin ako at pine-prepare na lang ang mga pinggan. His hair is wet but he already changed his clothes. 

He's now looking at me in confuse.

"What?" mataray na tanong ko dito.

"Why there's only one plate, spoon, and fork when we're two eating?" I rolled my eyes on him.

"Just to make it clear. I'm your roommate, and not your freaking maid. So cook for your own." I said.

Napatingin ako sa orasan. 6:00pm. Nangamoy pawis na rin ako dahil sa pagluluto kaya naisipan 'kong mag half bath na muna.

But I regret it afterward when I heard a noise of spoons in the kitchen pagkatapos kong maligo. And that confirms it when I saw Caius. Lovely eating my dinner.

"What the freaking afritada!?" I cussed.

"What? As what you've said, we're roommates, you have to share with me what's yours. And besides, I don't know how to cook. Your cooking is great anyway, you can apply not just my Secretary but also my chef." my jaw literally just dropped.

'I can't be with this guy'
