Chapter Thirty Three: Missed Time

Third Person POV

Under the starry skies, a family of four was happily sitting at the front beach . The members encircled the bonfire at the middle

Two little hands were extending towards thee bonfire while they were holding a long stick, and at the end of the stick was a big sausage and mallows

"Daddyy.. what did you feel whhen you found out about us?"the little girl expectantly waited for the cold but handsome man's answer

"nothing but happiness darling"' Kayden replied

sniff..sniff

"mum, why are you crying?" the little boy asked while worrying

"oh..nothing kaleb.. im just a lil bit sad.. because of the missed times you could've had a dad. You and Kayla. i'm sorry it was all my fault. I was selfish" Ellie could not stop her tears while explaining to her son

"hey.. love.. stop crying" the man gently wiped off thee tears from the beautiful woman's eyes

"I told youu.. we will make up for those times.. right? and we have a lifetime to do so. Right?" Kayden smiled beautifully and showed his deep dimple to Ellie

"yeah...thank you" Ellie said  and the family of four started reminiscing again what happened when the twins were still young..

The atmosphere at the present was so peaceful that no one has ever anticipated nor imagined the darkest storm that would approach into their lives.

Ellie's POV

"hey.. elle.. whenn the kids started talking what was their first word?" Kayden asked while i was blowo drying my hair

"haha! welll.. Kayla said "yum" and Kaleb said "love yooooh" I told him while smilingg from ear to ear

the scene was flashing again and i could not hlp but smile whil reminsicing

"how about the age where they walked their first steps?" He asked again

"well, kayla was 11 months old and kaleb started his first steps while he was stiill 9 months old"

I saw kayden smiled in my peripherals

"Well, how about when they tried solid food for the first time? What did you prepared for them?" Kayden anticpated for my answer

"Well.. i justt prepared them some boiled squash and mashed potatoes...and thats how i learned that Kayla likes cheesecakes"

Kayden pasued for a while... he sighed

and extended his hand and squeezed mine

"it must have been hard" he kissed the bac of my hand

i extended my hand and touched his cheek to comfort him

"no it's okay... i was thankful for the kids. They are very understanding,and also Saya.. She helped me raise the twins.." i said with an apologetic smile

"You were so brave.. you did good" He said and smiled at me

He leaned closer and kissed my forehead

"Ehem..mom and dad. We're still here yknow" Kaleb said

Kayla.just giggled

" heyyy.. that's romance right there.. ugh you cold guy" Kayla said and nudged him gently

" ugh.. you and your fantasies" Kaleb said

We ,as a family happily spent the night away in reminiscing lost and missed times..

I hope i could just take a video right now and just cherish this moment..

That was the thought that came into my mind.. and I never expected that  I shouldve done that..

We never knew that there was a storm that would sweep us as a "family"
