Chapter Two : I'm tired but I'm blessed

Five years ago, i went here in New Zealand

A highschooler that got pregnant. A total mess.

My pregnancy didn't stop me from studying. I finished Culinary School after two years and I enrolled Architecture afterwards.

After i gave birth to Kaleb and Kayla, yep. I gave birth to twins. Me, being a single mom never stopped me from achieving my architecture and culinary degree and I went straight to Shawn to borrow some money and put up my own restaurant. Which is now a five star restaurant with seven  branches all over the world.

I felt a tug in my leggings, i looked down to see two pairs of eyes that is confused

"Mum. I think kayla got her last test perfect, but the teacher said question number five is wrong because of her solution." Kaleb said while frowning

I smiled at the thought of him nagging the teacher next week after he discovered that his twin sister should be perfect. Kaleb is the exact replica of him. And Kayla is the exact replica of me. Luckily, they both inherited his smart brain, Kayla inherited my weirdness and swag. While Kaleb inherited my brown hair. That's the only one hes got from me. And oh, he got also my volleball skills, Kayla got her dad's sport skills.

"Mum. I worked hard on my test this time. I wont settle for 2 mistakes" Kayle nodded and hold his brothers hand and they walk together to their rooms and shut it

I smiled

They're at it again. Studying their little asses off.

I heard my laptop notify me that there is a video call

It's from Elliot

Before i answered i shouted at the top of my lungs

"Munchkins! Uncle elliot is calling!"

After that i heard little footsteps racing towards me and after a few seconds theyre beside me. Smiling widely. I pressed the answer button

"HI UNCLE ELLIOT!" They both greeted in unison

Elliot ended up laughing hysterically. Can't blame him. My twins are just so adorable

"Hi kayla and kaleb! As much as Uncle elliot wants to talk to you right now, me and your mum has to discuss a very important matter. But don't worry. After we finish, we'll talk and Kayla?, i want to hear some about the test you had yesterday okay?" Elliot told them and they nodded obediently. Kaleb stretched out his hand to kayla and kayla put her little hand on top of his brother's so that their little fingers intertwined and they started walking again towards their room and shut the door

I smiled, and i saw in my peripheral Elliot smiled too

"They always make me reminisce our old days Smellie" yup. Thats my brother's endearment to me. Sweet isnt it?

"Whatever Smelliot. ". I rolled my eyes and then said  " so, what's up?"

As soon as i said those words. Elliot straightened up and put up a serious face.

"I know you have your hands full there..." He looked at me and sighed " but Nana and I are having trouble with.. with some important matters in the hotel" he finished

Yes. Nana and my brother married two years ago, and i just found out four months ago that Nana is pregnant. Because of that Nana is forced to stay in their house and Elliot was the one in charge to take over the business matter as Nana is very sensitive in her pregnancy. She can't afford to be stressed even for just a bit. Elliot barely calls my help because One: he is capable, and Two: he's just shy to ask which i find stupid because i told him countless times never hesitate to ask for my help because we only have each other's backs. Turns out he's always the one who's helping me with my problems, and didn't bother me with his. Not even once. Just this time. That's why i didn't hesitate

"Sure. Anything that I can do to help, I will gladly oblige. I swear" i said smiling at him telling him that i mean it

"I.. I just,don't know ellie, because ... If you're gonna help me. You need to, to be ready to be tired" he said still worried about me

I can sense Elliot doesn't tell me the whole picture yet, and i can tell he's worried about something

"Im tired, but i'm blessed, see how much i raise up the twins alone. It was a challenging task, but my love for them was greater, now i want you to know that i would do the same thing for you Elliot, because I love you" i said

He hesitated for a moment but then continued afterwards by another voice

"Then be prepared to come back here Ellie, because i missed you a lot!" Shawn said blocking Elliot's face with his face peeking

"Ew shawn! Move your face!" Elliot shouted and i smiled

They never change. But wait, what was it again?? I need to prepare to go back?

"Why ?" I asked them both

They both looked at each other and then nodded. I think they come up to the decision that they need to tell me something

"Ellie,you need to go back here in new york. We need you"they both said in unison
