Hunters pov

"I may know a thing or two about beast keeping." I smiled, "Maybe i can help?"

"Would you?" Edric grinned, "And yeah i would appreciate that."

"Then lets get started." I smiled.

Inside i felt the knot of horrid feelings start to loosen, maybe life wasnt so bad after all.

Me and Edric spent the rest of the evening trying different training methods on Batrick, with only a few being almost sucessful.

By sunset Batrick would sing when we told him too almost 30% of the time. Though that number was small it was a great sucess according to Edric, who said he only sang around 5% before.

The best part was the memories of the previous night had been brushed for the side for now. Though a sinking feeling told me they wold be back before long.

"Lets go Hunter." Luz said, giving him a tap on the shoulder. "If we dont get back soon eda will get worried.

"Before you go can i get your penstagram? uh if you have one..." Edric said, pulling out a scroll. "i mean, if you want to finish teaching batrick sometime..."

"uh, yeah acctually." I said, pulling out my scroll, "hear ya go..."

"Thanks i got it... ok bye then."

"Byeee" i said with a wave, then i grabbed luz by the arm and power walked away.

"Luz why was that so awkword?" I asked, after we were out of earshot.

"Cause your both nerds." She said, shoving me playfully.

"Uh ok." I said, fully not knowing what a nerd is.

Ask we walked back to the owl house i let out a sigh. Edric was the first boy my age i had ever hung out with. I hope we hang out again soon.
