Hunters escape

Reunion

Hunters pov:

A few hours after edric left i managed to force myself upright. My head pounded but it was way better then it had been.

"Eda?" I managed to ask, voice quiet.

"Hunter!" Eda gasped, walking into the room, her ears pricked up. "Hunter youre awake! Thank goodness."

"yeah." I mumbled, "Is Luz here?"

"Shes at school but you can text her if you want." Eda said, "Told her it would be a god distraction from all the drama last night."

I nodded, looking around for my scroll and taking it off the beside table.

Hunter: Im alive!

Luz: Youre alive! XDD

Luz: How are you feeling bro?

Hunter: headache-. but other than that pretty good.

Luz: Thats good

Luz: see you after school

Hunter: yups

And now to text Edric.

I clicked his contact but paused before typing anything- a small idea forming in my head.

"Eda can I go on a walk around when school gets out?"

"You want to meet edric and surprise him?" Eda said, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah a little." I said, feeling a bit sheepish.

"Its probably best if i dont let you go-"

"Eda!"

"You didnt let me finish- But ill let you if we see more improvements, and you have to text me when you get there."

"Thank you Eda!" I grinned, feeling a burst of happiness.

Flowers! I would get Edric flowers- to thank him for saving me and just because i feel like it. I moved over, trying to get out of bed but moving that amount sent a burst of pain through me. A sour reminder that I wasent cured yet.

Eda, upon nodicing my struggle put a hand on my arm and guidied me back down to the safety of my pillows.

"Oh! I need to tell the others your up. Ill get you some food too." Eda ruffled my hair before turning and hurrying out of the room, shutting the door behind her.

"TWEET!" A red blur crashed into my bed, fluttering back up flapjack hopped onto my shoulder and leaned on my neck.

"Flapjack!" I grinned, reaching a hand up to pet the little bird. "Where have you been?"

"Tweeet." (* I was guarding the perimiter.) Flapjack whistled "Chirp" (*I also found you a seed)

I felt a small seed drop onto my lap

"Chirp" (*eat it- you need your strength.) I smiled, picking it up.

"Chirp."

"If you insist." I grinned, swallowing the seed whole. It really was small- so it went down without a problem.

Flapjack twittered happily.

After eating the soup eda brought me and drinking plently of water i was back on my feet. I couldent run, too much movement hurt my head- but i was definitly ready to go meet edric.

Walking to the school i picked a beautiful bouquet of golden flowers then sat down on a bench outside the walls to wait.

Looking at the large clock at the top of the building I figited impatiently. 3 . . . 2 . . . 1

Ringggggg

Seconds later hordes of students flooded from the building. I squinted, straining my neck to find the familiar green haired boy

After a minute of searching i found him. He looked a bit bedraggled, hair a mess and slight bags under his eyes (still handsome as fuck tho)

He was walking a bit to the side, smiling and talking to his sisters. He said something and they smiled and gave him a hug before running off with their respective girlfriends.

By then the crowd was mostly gone and Edric caught my eye from across the road. His eyes wided and expression dropped before a massive grin crossed his face.

"HUNTER!"

"EDRIC!" I yelled back, thought we werent very far from each other. I set my flowers down on the bench and stood up, wanting so badly to run but i could only take short steps in his direction.

Edric on the other hand was sprinting, arms open.

Before i knew it i was up against the ground, Edric in my arms.

He was here, i was here. We weren't dead! I wanted to say something but couldn't- Words could describe how much i was overwhelmed with happiness. My awesome boyfriend was in my arms and I had never felt so alive.

Heart racing I pushed Edric up just enough for me to look at his face. His eyes were shining and his face was lit up with so much joy i just wanted to kiss him.

"Edric." I said, pausing to cup his face in my hand, "I love you too."

Edric went red, his ears fluttering.

I pushed myself upright, Edric shifting on my lap- his arms still around me.

"Hunter. . ." He breathed, glancing away.

"I want to kiss you." I said, resting both arms on his shoulders and suddenly feeling a little shy, "I- Is that ok?"

"Of course its ok you dork." Edric grinned, looking back and tiling his head to the side.

Not really knowing how I leaned forward and pressed my lips on his. Edric reciprocated, gently pushing back until i pulled away- my stomach fluttering with exitement.

"As much as i would like to continue we should probably head back to the owl house." I said sheepishly, "Also my head still hurts a bit..."

"Why didnt you say so?" Edric said, "Dont worry handsome ill kiss you better."

I smiled, pulling out my scroll to message Eda "Pls do."

(Hunter gave ed the flowers dont worry)
