"Ow!" I said as I hit the floor.
Another morning waking up in the floor. Great.
"That's what you get for not waking up early!" my brother said.
"It's still early for school!" I protested.
I hate being woke up like that!
I'm Haley Galbraith. That bastard who woke me up from my slumber is Jaden, my elder brother. Technically, we're not blood related. Mum adopted him. It didn't became an obstruction for us to get close though. He's there to be my brother, best friend, and dad. Yeah, dad. I grew up without a father. My parents divorced and I went with Mum. I don't know anything about my dad.
Does he have a new family?
Does he already have other children?
Does he still knows or cares about me?
I don't even have an idea what he looks like! All I know is his name is Mark. It's not that I don't care about him or I hate him. He's still my Dad after all. It's just that, he doesn't take time to at least introduce himself to me so why should I bother?
"Take a bath. You stink!" Jaden commanded.
"Yeah, yeah." I replied and shut the door as soon as he got out.
I took a shower and picked clothes for me to wear. I wore a denim shirt and white trousers.
"Jaden! Haley! Breakfast is ready." Mum called.
Jaden and I rushed to the dining room.
"First!" I shouted defeating Jaden.
"'Unfair!!" he exclaimed.
"Unfair? Who's the one who drag my bum to the floor?" I opposed
"You know, you should thank me for that!"
"Why should I?"
"Because-"
"Alright you two. Stop it. Let's eat." Mom interrupted.
After we ate, we headed to our schools. Jaden is already a college student while I'm still a high schooler. That's why we have different schools. It sucks.
"Later, little sis! Love you!" Jaden said.
"Later. Love you too." I replied.
Another good day at school. Note the sarcasm.
I walked through the corridor and entered our homeroom.
"Hey, Haley!" One of my classmates greeted.
"Hi." I returned.
"Morning, Hale." Another one said.
Again, I returned her greeting with a smile.
Wondering how a nerd like me, got famous in a good way? I am the president of the student government and also the top 1 in our class, but those weren't the real reason. It is because I'm Jaden's sister. My brother is a well-known musician. He got a lot of fangirls in our school. All of them wants to be a friend of mine for that matter. However, I'm not really a sociable person, and there are only two persons I can call my friends.
When it was already our break, I went with my only friend here at this school, Charlene. The other was my childhood friend, who migrated to America a few years ago. I haven't heard anything about him. I've lost contact him, which is sad, but I know our friendship never ended.
"Hey, Char!" I greeted.
"Hey, Hale." She greeted back. "Haley, can I ask you a favour?" she added
